Regardless of location whether it be her home city of Dallas or her newfound staying spot in L.A. one thing remains the same for singer Sophie St. John, she remains her true self. This week we caught up with her to discuss her hunger and mentality for pursuing the career and life she wants through music! She touches on passing up different opportunities from bigger labels and companies to build the foundations for herself independently. The payoff has seen her make new connections and release several acclaimed singles on the way towards her new project currently in the works. Sophie’s true admiration for the craft and desire for longevity is what will keep her on fans playlists for years to come. Having found great success in the YouTube and BeatStars world the ever expanding producer known as Stoic joined us this week to discuss his work and recap what it’s taken to get this far! Coming from a band in his early years and later learning music production he touches on what led him to begin putting out his beats over the last 3 years. His sound has led him to not only self release music to streaming platforms but also to collaborate with different artists from all over the world. He talks about his social media presence as well and how it’s been able to open up his brand to a wider audience through different forms of content creation. Stoic embodies the Ideal producer approach for the modern age and we hope some fellow peers can take notes from his methods to further push their own movement. Not too many mix engineers have appeared on the show up to this point but when they do they always seem to have some great advice or behind the scenes light to shed. This week was no different as we welcomed L.A. resident and Belgium born talent Jerome Renard to the podcast! He talks about the many different jobs and opportunities he’s had along his road to becoming a full time engineer mixing for artists all over the world. He discusses the differences between working with more independent acts versus major labels and companies as well as how he approaches each new situation to bring out the best in every song he touches. Jerome’s main goal being to keep the heart in the music shows his true character and purpose for his work. It’s something we’re certain he’ll continue to keep in mind as he moves up the ranks in his already impressive career!

L.A. born and raised artist Sable Minx isn’t afraid to let her true self shine in her music. Through colorful artwork and visuals like her latest single “Hollyweird” she’s showing how important it is for artists to embrace what makes them unique! She joined the podcast today to discuss her upbringing in a musical family and what led her to pursue it fully. She talks of her recent world travels and some of the artists that have inspired her to go all in with her vision. Sable continues to craft new songs and accompanying art behind the scenes and we’re awaiting to see where else she can take her stellar personality through each new endeavor!

Solorio is an artist and producer from Rockville, Maryland just looking to do what he loves within the music world. He joined us this week to discuss a little about his story and why he feels called to continue on the path of least resistance in his artistic approach. Thanks to his high schools IT guy he was able to learn Studio One and eventually Pro Tools for music production that set him on a course for different styles and sound fusion. Shortly after he discussed making the decision to lay his own vocals on his tracks leading to his recent solo catalogue such as the contrasting sonics of “Love (At All)” and “Float (I Feel A Way)”. Solorio’s intent to stay independent and focused on his mission for quality is the kind of outlook we love to have from our guests. In another edition of our part two episodes we welcome back Chicago native J. Foster! In our catch up we found a lot of things have been happening for Jeremy as he’s freshly moved to L.A. for a job in the sync licensing world as well as making new connections that are helping his own music continue to evolve. He discussed the adjustments to the move and how it’s benefited his life currently to be surrounded by all the creative energy and new opportunities that it has to offer. When reflecting on his recent solo releases (“Me & U” EP & “Blessings” 2021) he sights the importance they had on his story as an artist and what fans might be able to expect from his new works currently being crafted. It was awesome to hear Jeremy’s goals from the first episode come to fruition with the amount of time and work he’s put in and we can’t wait to see what else he can achieve before our next sit down!

Our first guest from Germany is the very talented and soulful singer Nacia who we’ve had the pleasure of knowing for a year or so already! After a brief wait we finally welcomed her to the podcast where she had much inspiration and insight to share. Following her time away from releasing music she discussed what she learned about life and herself that ended up inspiring her new music currently being made. The most recent single “So Good” serves as a great reflection of where she is in the current time of her life and an accurate representation of her message of perseverance. All in all Nacia gives the listeners some awesome advice on staying true to yourself and getting the most out of each day through the ups and downs. Sync songwriting is a skill all it’s own and can usually only be conquered by a certain level of music maker. A North Carolina artist named Giavonna has been on this path for several years now and joined us to give a bit of insight into how it’s been going! She describes how she approaches the briefs of different TV and movie projects and how it can be challenging to create the exact feel of what each one calls for. Having made several great connections via clubhouse she talks about the advice she’s been given on how to improve her craft and give herself the best chance to land sync placements as she moves forward and continues to get better. Her plans to use sync as a means to fund her own releases as an artist in the future are a great example of the importance of a blueprint to have in place as a young artist with a real structure for success. Transitioning from basketball career to music maker is something that Delaware native Dan Vibez is seemingly living out in real time. He joined the podcast this week to talk about what it’s been like specifically over the last three years that’s seen him release a handful of albums and singles alike. We were able to catch up in conversation with our good friend from Boston Yelena Rodriguez this week about what she’s been up to since our last discussion in the summer of 2020!
