A multi talented producer and artist out of Houston named Lillian Grace connected with us on this weeks podcast episode! We were able to find out more about her life through music starting at an early age in choir which eventually led to her picking up music production and creating her own tracks she’s been releasing over the last several years. Her newest singles “Repair My Soul” and “Marquee” showcase her love for different styles and stories where she’s finding a home for her vulnerable and courageous lyrics to shine through. Having overcome both career and personal obstacles in her life it’s very inspiring to see Lillian’s perseverance and spirit as she starts to ascend on her mission as an artist. A friend of our former guest artist King Shampz is a fellow Philadelphia MC named Blak who we had the pleasure of speaking to this week! He joined us to discuss how me met Shampz and his main producer Azzan to form the Dead Wrong Records movement and the lessons he’s learned from them both in collaboration and in life. As he crafts his next solo project he touches on the importance of quality and consistency in his rhymes to continue his to evolve his music. As an artist recently finding his footing Dallas R&B singer Les B. joined the show to discuss with us what it’s been like so far! After the March release of his recent EP “My Thoughts” he speaks on collaborating with a local producer to make the project come together in an organic and free form manner. Keeping it genuine seems to be the best method for Les as he aims for longevity but most importantly creative freedom in his endeavors. He talks about keeping the love for the craft in mind with each new song and project which is a lesson all creatives will find appreciation in. At such a young age London Artist Sofia Gillani already has an impressive track record to show for. She joined the podcast this week to recap what she’s been up to most recently with multiple tracks including her newest single “Flames” that have released so far this year. She discussed the process behind the music videos she’s filmed with her team to showcase each songs story in a fun and creative way that has contributed to her brand growth especially with recent releases. Sofia has also been on a consistent run of live shows in the area as well as interviews with other podcasts, blogs and publications to help her reach more new fans. Her work ethic and talent level is already a sight to see and we wish Sofia the best of luck as she continues to grow and elevate as an artist!

Welcoming back episode 13 guest D.Vair was another pleasant reunion for us! He had a lot to discuss in regards to his new music and the growth he’s done since his 2020 release “Fruition”. Having just dropped his new single “That’s How It Goes” he’s aiming to kickstart the next chapter in the story that will lead to a new EP potentially by years end. While he’s looking to do some live shows and music videos to help push it further he also touched on his love for acting and his desire to pursue it in some capacity in the future. Hats off to D.Vair for always showing love to us from the start and feel free to get refreshed on the Florida artists current state of mind!

This week we welcomed a Vancouver artist named Tae who musically recalls her past and how it’s shaped the person she is today! After seeing her mother play instruments growing up she recalls originally being led to pursue a more Jazz and Pop based style. However Tae’s source of inspiration was found in the styles of late 90’s R&B and Hip-Hop where she’s found her own voice through her own time and process. As she crafts her first full album she recalls what it’s been like diving deep with her engineer to create a sonic reflection of her life today and some of her experiences growing up. Tae’s purpose and spirit is very apparent and her artist journey will be one to behold moving forward. We hope to connect with her again real soon and await the new project dropping in the coming months!

As an unofficial part 3 episode we reconnected this week with our good friend from Canada the artist known as Focused! We always love getting to talk Hip-Hop with a fellow student of the craft and he had a lot of cool stories once more for us. With his latest project “AM Grinding” he was able to take his experiences of traveling the world and relay them into the music while crafting and releasing the album during lockdown. Almost simultaneously he was recording a documentary about his own experiences during the pandemic which he recently dropped this month. Since then he’s been busy on releasing visuals, getting back to performing live and even plotting the early ideas for his next album all of which he’s very passionate about. We’re excited to see what we get next from Focused especially in the second half of the year. As someone who’s been in the game many years we look forward to hearing even more of his experiences very soon!

On another rapid fire episode we were able to talk with our past guest from episode 7 Tashan who hails from London! He joined us from a photo shoot and show prep simultaneously so it was great to still get some of his time to catch up on what he’s been up to the last couple years. He discussed his tracks “Stay” and “Raising Hell” which both came after a brief break from releasing any new material. The singles help showcase two different sides of his diverse style and are accompanied by visuals that he happened to take the lead in overseeing from start to finish. The biggest theme for him has been expanding his outreach in the arts through different outlets while keeping the quality and consistency high. We’re looking forward to another conversation with Tashan very soon and as always be sure to check this and our part 1 sit down to get the full experience!

As an individual with multiple layers to her creative side Janessa-Nicole talked with us this week about how singing, songwriting and even photography has helped her to find herself in the last two years. After changing trajectory during college she began focusing on music leading her to dial in during the 2020 pandemic. Since then she’s dropped 3 projects including her new EP “Therapy Session” in which she describes as a deeper dive into her personal story telling and more evolved from songs she’s made in the past. She talked about how her photography serves as another creative outlet when it’s time to break from her music for a while and free her mind while still keeping arts at the center. Janessa is just getting started and with another EP later this year and some visuals for them you’ll want to be sure to stay locked in with what she has planned!

Around the age of 13 Reesie Woods began to dive into music out of a small town in Indiana. Today he continues his mission with rejuvenated purpose and resolve and he shared some of it with us on this weeks episode. While crafting his long awaited new album he describes the true feeling he wants to convey with each record of the project. He also talks briefly on his desire for a change of scenery which will see him move to Atlanta very soon to find new connections and collaborators in the industry. Reesie is also a podcast co-host and the co-founder of the brand Protagnia that has given him another side to share of his creative mind with the world. As an artist who’s a big fan of our show already it was great to hear his own story told through our platform and we can’t thank him enough for the continued support!
