The Public Affair

2 years in the making this episode was! I’ve been seeing Monika do her thing in the fitness world for a long time, specifically motivating women to do their thing and be fearless! I joined her workout classes earlier this year, since she wouldn’t budge coming on the show! Finally, after much warming up and convincing, she came on for an exciting episode! Her daughter, Malz, definitely stole the show as well!

It’s hard to label this guy as just a “country singer”, when this episode alone proves that his vocals can range all over different genres! I met Cody a couple of years ago when he was only doing music very seldom, putting his career to the forefront. Fast forward to today, he’s going full swing with his true passion and showcasing his talent for singing all over Waco! I wanted to make sure The Public Affair was his first interview before he potentially makes it to the big times and forgets us “little people”! With mesmerizing eyes and 2 bottles of mimosas, Cody came on to intro himself to the world as a fully renowned musician!

I’ve been following this guy and his career since my earlier radio career days. I’ve literally seen him go from social media trouble maker, to owning his own empire with “The Key Konnect”! He drove in from Killeen to give Waco a taste of who Cory with the Keys” is, and show us all how his eccentric personality has gained him huge notoriety in his city!

South Waco native Chris Riggins is the host of one of the biggest car shows in Waco, The Co Super Show, and has been in the car show scene for many years. With his wife in the background while we record, Chris came on for an exxxciting and salacious episode of The Public Affair to tell us all about his upbringings, these car shows, and so much more!

Growing up in Long Island, NY, I wasn’t exposed to too much Mexican music, not any actually. It wasn’t until I moved to Texas that I started hearing it, and I took a huge liking to Duranguense music ! I was obsessed with bands like Alacranes Musical, and the sounds were always so energetic and wild to me! That’s why, it was sooo cool having Marlon Omar Valenzuela as a guest on The Public Affair, who’s the lead singer of the up and coming Duranguense group Tamborazo Herradura! I asked him to sing on the spot, and with no hesitation he belted out a song for us on the show, which did something to my whole body . It was also lit learning about his early DJ’ing career, and how that party/night time lifestyle almost consumed his being!

I met Orlando through one of my trainers, Monika, and she was telling me how good of a guest he’d be, and she was absolutely right! Orlando comes off as super reserved and private, but I got an open book on the show! Growing up in a military family, he comes on to talk about his experience in being a teen dad and raising a son, operating his gym Cross Fit 818, its closure and more! He’s lived a life of having to literally bounce back, and there’s nothing really that can take him down!

I knew the show needed a little Jesus, but I didn’t want to invite anyone who was going to be “extra” with it or try to shove a Bible down our throats, so I KNEW Jahaziel would be the perfect guest! No labels or gimmicks, he’s just like us! Your average guy who happens to be a servant of God, and he comes on the show quite frankly at a good time for me personally. It was nice talking to this guy about his past, and it all leading up to how he lives now! From depression, an almost suicide attempt, addiction to porn, practicing abstinence and more, Jahaziel lets loose on us as real as he can get and gives us truly, THE WORD!

I wasn’t too much into vlogs UNTIL I watched Felipe’s! This guy is so much like myself when creating content, just carefree and no apologies! I knew waiting for the right time for him to come on the show was worth it! What do you get when you get 2 careless content creators in the same room? This hot mess!

So fun fact about this guy, he was kinda the first friend I ever made in Texas when I moved here a little over 15 years ago! So naturally, it was cool to reconnect after all this time and see all that we’ve been up to! Now, Austin where’s a number of hats in town, and his story about leaving the family business to start his own was pretty cringy! Remember, you’ll know who’s really supporting you when the times get thick!

This one is truly for my underdogs! Tiffany is a South Waco native running for the city council to truly represent her people and cater to all their needs! She deals with a tons of backlash behind the scenes, mainly because of her young age and not “conforming” to fitting the mold of who truly misrepresents us! She’s passionate, smart, and tells it how it is! She’s not being quiet anymore! Truly a joy having her on the show!
