Public speaking gains you and your brand additional press and industry credibility, which makes it easier to sell your products and services. Public Speaking is an incredibly valuable sales tool. It is a highly effective platform for any good content marketing and sales strategy. If your audience feels they can relate to you, people are more likely to trust you and do business with you. Good public speaking skills make it possible for you to sell the value of what you have to offer to company executives, customers or clients.

What people do not understand is when you are speaking you are always selling.
Selling has an identity and confidence element as well. There’s also a relationship with money and lack of information on the right pricing. People associate selling as being bad but it is actually not.  If you are not charging, someone else is.

Common Problems in terms of Speaking and Selling:
1. Weird relationship with money.
2. Lack of information on market pricing.

What is the most important aspect?
1. People need to get the value they get from you and you can solve the problem.
2. People would need to see your credentials.
3. Platform where you can connect with your audience.

Remember you are always how you position yourself in their minds
If they don’t benefit from you they will go to someone else.
If you are not standing in your spot, someone else is.

Storytelling brings language learning alive and creates a participatory and immersive experience that allows people to enjoy hearing the language in a dynamic, sometimes stylistic and entertaining way.

In this episode, Elliot and Jose unravel the importance of storytelling not only in public speaking but in careers as well as in business. Storytelling can be used to persuade peers, sell to clients, develop new marketing narratives, and even reposition the company amongst the competition. Statistics may not be memorable but stories are. Messages delivered as stories can be up to 22X more memorable than just facts.
