On my self awareness journey, I've been cautious about clarifying context. If I don't understand something, I search for clarity/ask questions. This has truly helped me not to just digest assumptiously - I'm intentionally protecting my programming. There are so many messages these days talking to us about consistency, and these messages can be a hindrance.
How do you get your brain to do exactly what you want it to do ? By Tricking it !
As a kid, when you’re asked what you want to be when you grow up, the expected response is usually one thing – a Lawyer, Banker, Engineer, Teacher, maybe President even. You are subconsciously taught that you can only choose one career path and that’s it. At the time, society does not consider that you may have different interests, and might be equally good at many things, everything just points to ‘Choose ONE’. Well, guess what society? While a lot of people are great at choosing one path and sticking to it, some of us have multiple passions and are very well able to manage them all and produce brilliant results. Whoever coined the phrase ‘Jack of All Trades, Master of None’, clearly was biased and had not met us – the multi-passion driven ones who kick major ‘you know what’ working in various industries at the same time.
Hi Guys, if you've read my book "This Thing Called Purpose", it's no news to you that I went through a separation about 2 years ago, and a divorce. At the time when my divorce process started, I tried to search for content that talked about how to handle things. I couldn't find anything in this part of the world, that I could learn from. I realize that Divorce is a "taboo" subject, and many people are either too ashamed to talk about it, or just don't want to deal with 3rd party. I've just done a video on my YouTube channel, where I share 10 Things I learned from my divorce. I'm an advocate for trying to fix broken relationships, so...No... I'm not asking you to get a divorce.😑. (Had to get that disclaimer in, because some of y"all can tell your pastor that Adaora said....). This video is for people who have either been through a separation/divorce, going through one, or for anyone who has been in an intimate relationships that ended. . In this video, I talk about some of the things I've learned, and how I believe it's best to handle the entire process.
