You may be wondering, Emily... What the heck is "gymtimidation?" Well, let's talk about it! In today's episode, I go over the term "gymtimidation," which can be defined as the fear of working out in front of others, the intimidation felt in a gym, the fear of being judged due to fitness capability... the list goes on and on and on. I talk through my experiences with "gymtimidation" and some research and studies done about people's gym fears. Whether it's in the gym, a fitness class, fitness group, or community, the fear that may come up when being placed in a new fitness scenario is REAL. This episode is here to remind you all that EVERYONE GOES THROUGH IT (no matter their experience, fitness level, age, or gender)! I hope this episode reminds you all of just that. Fitness is personal!
