We create energy when we enter and exit parts of our day. Think about the thresholds in your life and how you savor each moment.

We look back on their past because we want to remember how core moments felt. We can make these flashbacks more purposeful by learning a lesson and leaving a message for our future selves. Charlie recommends leaving a voice memo or writing down how you feel as it happens — because we simply won’t remember the emotion as intensely the next day. The best way to learn is to repeat that lesson over and over again.
