Beginning with the era of Robert Bourassa in the early 1990s, to the return of the Parti Quebecois and the 1995 Quebec Referendum, Quebec went through several rises and falls over the course of 30 years. Jean Charest would lead Quebec through three mandates, and Pauline Marois would become the province's first female premier.
