Union Home Minister Amit Shah is intensifying security operations against Naxals as he has vowed to eliminate Naxalism in India by March 2026. As part of this 'Naxal-Mukt Bharat Abhiyan,' security forces recently launched Operation Black Forest, targeting Naxal hideouts along the Chhattisgarh-Telangana border. The forces conducted 21 encounters in 21 days—killing at least 31 Maoists, including CPI (Maoist) General Secretary Basavaraju.
