This week, it's the start of our favorite time of year, and the return of Five Weeks of Fright! In the first entry into this year's festivities, it's a sequel many thought shouldn't have been made. Despite push back, it was produced and provided the introduction of a horror icon! Five years after the events of the first film, a counselor training facility opens up across from the defunct Camp Crystal Lake. A group of prospective counselors, including resident wise ass Ginny, and the camp owner Paul live it up at the facility before having to get down to work. However, their good time comes to a screeching halt when the town legend Jason Voorhees appears to the group in the flesh.
This week on the show, for the last entry in SepTWINber we switch it up a bit and riff on a selection from the Olsen Twins "You're Invited" series! Saddle up and join the fun as the girls and a few friends run amok in the Mall of America! They sing, they dance, they witness a wild situation involving a rabid parrot!
This week on the show, we riff another Olsen Twin's flick! In this movie, the girls play sisters whose dad is a widower sculptor, and they don't want him moping around the house anymore. So they hatch a hair brained scheme to advertise their father as single and ready to mingle by using a billboard. After being inundated with responses, their father ends up finding a romantic partner unexpectedly. However, in the way is their dad's greedy agent, who's using his client's art for underhanded means. There's also a rapping friend, a troubled bleached blonde boy, and a diving team coach.
This week on the show, we dive into the Olsen twins film catalog once again for another entry into SepTWINber! In this flick, the girls play Sam and Emma. Sam is a tomboy and is her competitive father's pride and joy, while Emma is a girly-girl, and lacks her father's attention. When a youth soccer league goes co-ed, the twin's dad doesn't sweat it too much because he'll have Sam to play for him. However, the girl's mother forces their dad to draft Emma in order to make her feel included. When a another coach picks Sam, both girl's find that neither of them are in their ideal situation. So the girls hatch a scheme to switch teams and deceive their mom. With their dad playing along, it isn't long before Mom finds out.
This week on the show, we kick off our first ever "SepTWINber" series riffing the films of the world's most famous twins! Mary-Kate and Ashley play Melanie and Allyson, two typical late 90's teens whose entire world is focused on the mall, gabbing with friends, and the perils of Junior High. When their parents feel the girl's world view is too narrow, they decide to ship them off to Paris, France to stay a week with their Grandfather. While in Paris, the girls befriend a famous model, help their uptight chaparone loosen up, and fall in love with a couple of French boys.
This week, we continue our look at Baseball in the 2000s! This time around, we discuss the breaking of a curse, shamed sluggers in the hot seat, and the dawning of a new era. All those things and more when we continue on with Baseball from 2004-2006, this week on the Radkast!
This week, along with our regular release we have a very special bonus episode! Our dear friend Dan Drake joined us to take on the Six Mix, however, before that the three of us had another great discussion! We talked a little bit of everything when it comes to humility, help, and learning!
This week on the show, it's another editon of the Six Mix! This go around, we talk about the effects of the opening to Mortal Kombat, meeting a childhood hero, the connections we've made with all our TV watching, and the moments in life that remind us of who we are!
This week on the show, we dip our toes back into the worlds of Sports and the 2000s! The 90's may have seen a huge boom in popularity, and a bigger boom in bats, but the renaissance of America's pastime saw arguably it's biggest crescendo early in the 2000s! As a whole we're covering the years of 2000-2006, the sport's new apex, quite possibly it's biggest embarassment, and it's new beginnings! However, this edition we'll only be talking The Kid's new home, a historic season in Seattle, and Cub's fans going from blaming a billy goat, to blaming a scape goat!
This week on the show, we celebrate a couple milestones! On this editon of the Radkast Ramble, we talk the traumatic experience that was The Land Before Time, how certain songs can spark certain memories, and our shared love of the delicacy that is cheese fries! All those topics, and then some, are explored in the first edition of our new series The Six Mix!
