Today I don't have a guest so I walk through the convolution our culture has come to know regarding the difference between forcing your beliefs on someone and merely expressing your beliefs. If you're religious it seems that you get berated for merely expressing and if you don't want to participate in pride you are seen as a bigot and it seems it is being forced upon us to celebrate something we may not agree with. It's a tough conversation but that's why I want to have it.

Having recently become a member of Costco and going there and Sam's recently I offer my thoughts along with an article that did a deep dive comparing the two to hopefully settle the debate once and for all over which one is better. I also offer some random thoughts about my two days, so far, in Houston and offer my celebration of 50 years of Title 9 bringing equality to sports.

Top Gun Maverick is, in fact, that movie. I saw it, it's really good and guess what we can close the book on what has become quite the saga between myself and this wonderful movie. Not only was I wrong about the quality of the movie but I my eyes were also opened to the cynic I had become regarding "low brow" action movies. Now I can enjoy movies more that I had become jaded about.

So my rage against the new Top Gun, to some, would be seeming to backfire in my face, but I hold the line on my stance and stick by guns. I dive into an unexpected combo, exclusive release of a ritz x oreo cookie that's half PB cracker, half oreo. I'm not interested but curious to know if this is something you would like. Did I mention they gave them away for free, but there was only 1000 boxes. I finish up detailing a yelp review rescue executed by myself and a couple of companions on a nice co-op that got hit with several 1 star reviews based solely on their mask policy at the height of the pandemic.

It's the end of the month, which means BOOK REVIEW TIME! This month I read a classic, Mere Christianity, which lays out the very basics of christianity that was delivered over the radio in the UK in the midst of the second World War. It's a great read that walks through where the basic beliefs of Christianity stems from and fleshes out the details of the basic beliefs. It's a great read whether you're an atheist, new christian, old christian, or just curious.

I recently converted from pro-life to abolitionist (by recently I mean less than two weeks ago) and so I wanted to sit down with an abolitionist to discuss abolitionism and talk about my transition.

Today, I have the honor of sitting down with James Silberman from Free the States, one of the leading abolitionist organizations in the nation, based out of Norman, OK. James is the Director of Communications for Free the States and provides a summation of what the abolition movement is, how it differs from the pro-life movement, why that distinction matters, and answers a lot of the common questions posed when people encounter abolitionism.

Today is a slightly different rendition of this series. I actually got to sit down with Jessica Johnson, the sister of Nicole, who we had on last week to detail her experience overcoming an eating disorder. Her sister came on and gave her perspective of Nicole's situation and what that was like and played into her own brief battle with an eating disorder. It's another powerful, perspective giving episode that I very much enjoyed and I hope you do too.
