In the second part of our Roger Corman's Poe Cycle series we focus on the movies Pit and the Pendulum, The Premature Burial, The Raven, Tales of Terror, and Masque of the Red Death. We talk Vincent Price, the works of Richard Matheson, and Corman's high art background making for a great team.

The first of our Two-Part series on Roger Corman's Poe Cycle. In part one we discuss Edgar Allan Poe and Corman as artists and influencers, and the film company AIP who produced the series. We wrap up talking about the first movie in the cycle, House of Usher (1960). As most of the films in the series hold up well so we loved watching and reviewing Vincent Price work.

New on Netflix Streaming is Dead Set, from Charlie Brooker, the creator of BBC's Black Mirror. Originally created and shown for BBC's channel 4, Dead Set pushed the limits of horror on English television. We talk about the miniseries and its homages to the zombie genre, and in doing so also share our Top 5 Zombies Kills.

On to the mess that is American Horror Story: Coven. Ryan Murphy's messy blend of traditional New Orleans history with skewed witchcraft lore, and voodoo will only get one episode for our running retrospective.

In this conversation with Sean "Spooky Sean" Thompson, the co-host of the Miskatonic Musings podcast, we talk about his new Chap Book, 'Too Late,' and some favorite firsts of 90s television. A handful of seminal horror pilot episodes, we talk X Files, Millenium, and Tales from the Crypt.
