  • #103: We Moved 2x in 6 Months, Here's What I Learned

Moving is one of the most stressful occurrences and disruptions in a persons life, but it’s also the only other time you’ll have the opportunity to touch literally everything you own, twice. When you pack and unpack it. So you get at least two opportunities to toss or donate items. Sometimes you don’t really know if you want to keep something until you see it in the new space.

  • #97: Top Baking Mistakes

    The Most Common Baking Mistakes:

    1. Using ingredients that aren’t at the right temperature
    2. Not rotating baked goods in the oven at least once during the baking process, to ensure an even bake
    3. Checking items too frequently
    4. Not chilling dough before baking
    5. Not reading the recipe all the way through before getting started
    6. Not measuring nor prepping all ingredients beforehand
    7. Not properly measuring ingredients
    8. Not creaming butter and sugar for at least 8-10 minutes -- when they light and fluffy, they mean it.

  • #96: How and Why the Sabbath Balances Out Your Weekly Flow

“You are not a machine. You are a human being. You have a soul. You were not made to go and go and go. You were not made to work 24/7. You were made to live into this rhythm that is embedded in creation itself. Rest refills your emotional, mental, spiritual, even physical reservoirs. It refills you with creativity, with wisdom, with a sharp mind, with optimism, with clarity, with a sense of peace about you. Rest is life giving. Why? Because God blessed the sabbath day.” —John Mark Comer
