The 1993 film Rudy is a true story of a small-town kid from Illinois who harbored dreams of playing football at the University of Notre Dame despite significant obstacles such as his height, cognitive skills, and economic status.

Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger joins Liz on the podcast to discuss how he secured a Notre Dame education and landed a position on one of the most prestigious college football teams in history. He later teases the director’s cut of the film he inspired, releasing on Nov. 14th.
