Top of the first:
We will discuss the pending free agencies of Juan Soto and Pete Alonso. Both are Scott Boras clients, and both will present free agencies that are alike in some ways and different in others.
This might be a little longer top of the first than we are used to, but I think it's an interesting topic, and also my main segment will be a little shorter than usual, so it will work out.
Main segment: why are the Phillies so good .
I wanted to take an in-depth look at the Phillies because I will be traveling to London to see them take on the Mets in the London series.
The Phillies have the best record in MLB. How have they done it? Through a combination of offense and greet starting pitching. They also did some strategic off-season signings. They have gotten surprised performances from Alec Bohm offense and Ranger Suarez in starting pitching.
The Phillies have also had an easy schedule so far.
We can also briefly address the fact that so many teams are playing under .500 this year. I personally don't know why this is, but maybe you have some input on this. The AL West is particularly ugly.
Closer: what's good to eat
Also in what is coming up I will be releasing a video this week regarding Lou Gehrig day in MLB, which is June 2. Also, I will be heading to London for the London series to do some work with the British baseball Federation.
