Faith is not a name it, claim it doctrine – where we treat GOD like a genie in a bottle. Expecting Him to grant our every wish simply because we claimed that He would. It is not burying our head in the sand and pretending a problem/concern does not exist. Faith, because of relationship with God, is knowing that He is our ALL and ALL. We trust Him as our every need supplied and the answer for any and everything that life brings our way.

There is sometimes a fine line between faith and foolishness… Faith is acknowledging a concern exists, but acknowledging God as the solution. Foolish is clearly seeing a concern and in the name of faith, acting as though it does not exist. Are you walking in faith or foolishness?

GOD has not given us a Spirit of fear (one that is tormenting and crippling), but of power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7 There's a difference between the emotion of fear that serves as one of our body's defense mechanisms. And the spirit of fear - the embodiment or mindset of a crippling or tormenting fear. Fear is a normal, universal emotion, felt by everyone at some point(s) in life. Fear, like all other emotions, can be a strength or a weakness - it is our reaction or response to fear that determines which outcome. Join me for a discussion on what fear is, the three responses to fear, various types of fear, and how they are evidenced in our everyday life .

Abuse of authority in It’s simplest definition is the misuse of authority. Often we recognize this misuse/abuse when it is blatant and obvious. Yet we miss the subtle ways until it has already caused great mental/emotional and spiritual harm. Let’s identify and uncover these subtle ways to bring healing and restoration to the one abused and the one abusing their authority.

Our families are a core reflection of our heart health - issues of our hearts. They are the foundation for every other real relationship we encounter. When this area of relationship is dysfunctional (short of the intervention of God) it will at some point impact all other relationships, and the way we view and interact with others. I encourage you that as you purpose to thrive in 2025 to be fully family focused – bridging all gaps by humbling yourself, renouncing all generational lies, recognizing and acknowledging sin and wrong, repenting and apologizing, releasing and receiving forgiveness, and rebuilding or building the family.

The word relationship is derived from the word relation (the connection between two or more people or things) and ship (verb form - to send goods by air, train, or road, or to be sent in this way). REAL Relationships, (according to the definition given to me by God), are the goods that are sent/deposited into another’s life as a result of the connection between them and another person or people. Let’s talk about the goods!!!

Just as a physical heart can become clogged/blocked by a buildup of plague - made up of fats, cholesterol, calcium, and cellular waste accumulated on the inner wall of the coronary arteries. This accumulation/build up narrows the arteries pathway to receive blood flow.

The same is true of our spiritual & psychological heart - it can become clogged/blocked by a buildup of life’s problems. Over time, the accumulation of stress, disappointments, hurts, pains, failures, abuses, bitterness, and unforgiveness restrict and sometimes even block the redemptive, healing power of the blood flow of Jesus Christ in our lives.

For us to thrive in 2025, we’re going to have to allow GOD to do corrective heart surgery.
