The Rebellion

This topic of immigration is so we decided to keep the ball rolling a little longer. To be precise, illegal immigration, not legal immigration. Is it unChristlike to agree with Trump's immigration policies? Make sure to check back on Parts 1 and 2 (Ep707 & Ep708).

In this episode, Piper discusses how Christians calling for compassion for our "neighbors" and open borders are not practicing what they preach.

Illegal immigration along with the corresponding governmental policies are a major topic of discussion right now. Today’s episode discusses the different ways that Christians are speaking into the issues and what Scripture has to say about it all.

In this episode, Piper takes a look at a few current heresies or unbiblical teachings that continue to crop up in many churches today. Some church leaders like Andy Stanley are still holding on to what is known as the “seek-sensitive” mentality and the apparent desire to adjust Scriptures to make the more palatable. We all need to be on the look out for these teachings.

Dr. Piper continues in this episode to review the concepts of truth vs. opinion. The lines have become blurred in the age of “you do your truth and I’ll do my truth” and so clarification is needed for the believing Christian, as we are called to Truth with a capital T.

Welcome back to Dr. Piper’s Rebellion podcast. After a break this past year to do some work in his local community, he has back to share a biblical worldview perspective on what’s happening in our world in 2025. To start he begins with the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump and his inaugural speech.

In today’s episode the focus in on the biblical understandings of immigration. What does the Bible really say? What policies are compassionate and caring for others and which ones aren’t? It is a complicated issue, but there are some basics that are currently being ignored and we need to be informed and speak out on behalf of these who are being hurt by these policies and lack of action.
