* Gun Owners of America alongside several other companies, foundations, and states found a huge boost for their Texas federal court win against big pieces of the National Firearms Act (NFA) last week. Several members of Congress including Georgia’s Andrew Clyde have asked the DOJ / Trump Admin to let this ruling stand, and they seem poised to do just that. These companies started moving forward at midnight on the deadline to push this issue through. Could this signal the beginning of the end for the NFA? What happens to all citizens and not just members orgs and customers of the companies? State specific legal loopholes? Give it time, but a huge victory it seems for the 2nd Amendment.

* Also, Texas has intervened in a heart-breaking case that pits a surrogate Mom against the individuals she was carrying a child for. Baby Gabriel, at the center of this fight, has a serious but treatable congenital heart issue, and the mom carrying him refused to abort her child, according to wishes of the couple. Texas AG Ken Paxton demanded life-saving medical care for Gabriel when he was born, but the legal battle is far from over. The business model built around surrogacy carries major moral issues. Good for Texas stepping in to this one to protect life.

* Big primaries to watch this week: More DSA drift for the Democrats in Wisconsin? Will Mike Lindell mount a challenge to MN Dems for Gov’s office? South Carolina hands a victory to appointed Sen. Darline Graham Nordone, but others in the field carved a non-Graham path forward.

* Election review: As an “open primary” state, Missouri conservatives always must watch for Dem crossover votes in the primary. Were they a factor in some of the hotly contested local and state races? Not in St. Charles County at least, by the numbers. Plus, yet another Indiana State Senate incumbent who voted down redistricting has been knocked out by a recount, ousted by a Trump-backed challenger.

* A topic we’re going to cover often, and in detail, as Missouri hurtles toward November election: YES on Amendment 3 is not only a values-driven, but also historically literate and politically strategic. I have heard the arguments, or most of them, from those on the right who say to vote “no” - and those arguments just don’t cut it for me. I’m not willing to save not a single preborn life until we can save them all. We must take every victory we can and keep moving until total victory is achieved. All-or-nothing means nothing changes in what could easily become one of the most abortion friendly states in the nation.

* Refusing to fight and vote strategically could easily send us down the path of Massachusetts, where the Governor just signed an abortion law allowing elective abortions basically to the moment of birth, or Colorado where the state has been running a taxpayer funded transing kids movement through school health and social media influencers.

* As one big hearing on data centers in Jefferson City, MO, is canceled to make way for a data center concern Rally at the Capitol on September 16th, it’s encouraging to see more municipalities joining in the revolt against Flock and similar style automated “safety” cameras. Dozens of cities are letting their contracts lapse, disbanding them, or shutting down cameras altogether. The trend of more Flock cameras is still going up, but the outcry against them is no longer just citizen voices.

Plus:

* Medicaid and CHIP are stopping coverage of child sex-change drugs and procedures. GOOD.

* Dr. Fauci’s texts reveal a dastardly cover up about his (and colleagues) concern over the COVID vax and miscarriages in pregnant moms.

* First, a hearty congratulations to our friend and fellow Missourian Will Scharf on his promotion to White House Counsel. We are grateful for his work so far in the Trump 47 Administration, and we know the best is yet to come!

* Senate Majority Leader John Thune sent the Senate on vacation without passing the SAVE America Act. This is unsurprising, and confirmation of AG Blanche (while needed) should not be taken as an acceptable peace offering.

* Despite the Senate’s inaction on elections, some justice is coming to Wisconsin. The notorious Green Bay City Çlerk at the center of the 2020 election and so many scandals since has resigned amid yet another investigation of her work.

* D.C. streets are safer and cleaner thanks for the law enforcement surge just one year ago.

* And the administration is surging forward still with deportations and visa revocation. The State Department reports they have revoked nearly 175,000 visas since taking office in 2025.

* The WNBA has failed to deal with the “W” issue in the wake of Sophie Cunningham’s statement that men shouldn’t be allowed in women’s sports. Now, several former NBA players are threatening to test just how far the “W” can be stretched by putting themselves in for consideration in the 2027 WNBA draft. We’ll see how that turns out!

* AOC is trying to separate herself from the DSA radicals, the effectiveness of whic remains to be seen. But her latest viral moment is in sharing her story about freezing her eggs. She wants a family …just not right now. This may just be a vehicle to help the pro-life movement talk about the un-scientific dystopian future many fertility businesses are selling to Americans who want children.

* In MAHA news, two big announcements from HHS and the White House this week. First, a policy change making GRAS (“generally recognized as safe”) ingredients a mandatory review item and no longer on the honors system with Big Food. Second, an Executive Order calling for spacing out the recommended childhood vaccine schedule. These are just opening salvos into two fights that must continue in the private world and at the state level.

* In big news, Rand Paul finally got his audit of the gold reserve at Kentucky’s Fort Knox. It’s all there, he says, but the more important story is the rampant inflation, the Federal Reserve’s abuse, and the lack of standard backing our U.S. Dollar. Scroll through his X feed for several great historical points on this, and the need to return to sound, gold-backed currency.

* Michigan’s new Democrat Senate nominee is finally admitting his “medicare for all” support would involve big tax hikes for every bracket. How have we come so far as a nation to have popular polling support for socialist ideas like this? And is plotting a new party to oppose the GOP really the right strategy for beating the communists?

* DHS forced deportation numbers are way up, and the DHS Gen. Counsel has updated their running scorecard of TPS (temporary protected status) nations ended. However, Southwest Airlines and other businesses have been making a nuisance of themselves in hampering ICE work.

* What does this mean domestically? Jobs report numbers show nearly one million fewer foreign born workers, even as the total labor force participation rate continues to fall. Jobs and economy continue to slip, and I say it’s because we have too many programs that allow prime working age American men to just disconnect from the labor force altogether. We must cut that off at the soruce, even as we continue deportations and work to combat visa fraud. The Trump Admin’s new idea to require $250k bond from “questionable” immigrants to ensure we don’t accept “public charges” is a good start, but there’s more to be done.

* Missouri legislators continue to examine the fallout of amendment votes last week, and the MO GOP would do well to retool their strategy moving forward. We cannot afford to lose on the pro-life Amendment 3 in November. Our opponents on the left are already receiving big funding boosts for their effort. We must meet them with a unified front and grassroots work.

* The challenges aren’t over to Missouri’s new 7-1 Republican congressional map, but opponents aren’t giving up. We need our Attorney General and Secretary of State to keep their ducks in a row and stand strong on this. The General Assembly acted legally and constitutionally in their congressional map redraw.

* The Senate Homeland Security and Governmental affairs committee has voted to hold Dr. Anthony Fauci in contempt for his dog-and-pony show fifth amendment bonanza. What will DOJ do with this? Remains to be seen, but we know Fauci MUST be held accountable for his covid lies. Maybe more will start pouring out now that Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson has obtained a copy of Fauci’s covid-era government phone.

* On elections, big news coming out from newly release documents that show as many as four government prosecutors refused to pursue a hacker who was behind the 2020 breach of more than a half million Arizona voter records. Combined with a new study from Princeton showing just how easily the actual “anonymous” votes of Georgia voters really are with public data should give us more fuel on the fire of securing American elections.

* Plus: McConnell is discharged from rehab just in time for Senate recess — we still haven’t seen him in public or even seen a video, the Trump Admin is moving full steam ahead to curb birth tourism, Spain’s migrant invasion is a stark judicial warning to the U.S., plus a look ahead at Amendments 3, 7, and 8 on the Missouri ballot in November.
