On today's episode, I read a passage of my book on the topic of restoring beauty. In this chapter, I share how I received beauty through the ashes of dealing with my difficult healing journey. Beauty starts with your heart and the inner issues of your heart. Allowing God to expose & uproot the pain, the turmoil, the ugly and through His shed blood, He has the power to give you beauty for ashes.

I was dealing with with self hate, bitterness and ugliness, as a result of the abuse towards me. It was only when I asked Him for help to heal that I began to see the beauty within me.

On today's episode, I read a passage of my book on the topic of forgiveness. The process of forgiving my abuser, and the people in my life that didn't support me through that time of abuse, was so difficult, but it was necessary for my healing journey. Forgiveness can be so tough, and it can only truly come from your heart when you are ready to forgive. You cannot force yourself to heal when you aren't ready. I hope that by sharing my experience with forgiveness, it resonates and inspires you to begin to forgive.

This weeks episode touches on the grief chapter of my new book. Grief is hard. It is painful, and difficult, and something I am currently going through. It is very common for the victims of sexual abuse survivors to go through a grieving process, it is actually a neccessary process in order to heal.
