Today I highlight an X post from @SportsForceBB about their option on the new NCAA Scholarship and Team Roster rules starting in the 2025-2026 season of sports. This post talks mainly about college baseball, but the new rule will affect other sports and level of college sports and recruiting. You will get the 5 points that the @SportsForce BB post presents, plus you will get how the new NCAA rules change the number of scholarships and the number of players a team can support. Just because the number of scholarships is expanding, that does not mean every school will be able to fully-fund all the new scholarships. Let's get ready to navigate the new recruiting paths coming quickly.

I came across 2 posts on X on social media that I will cover in this episode of The Athletic Scholarship Podcast. The 1st post was about the announcement that the National Letter of Intent will be eliminated by the NCAA Division I and Division II levels. I will give you the actual announcement and what the NLI was and how it might effect recruiting. More news on the changes will be covered on future episodes. The 2nd post I can across was from a Head Coach of a NAIA level baseball team. The post said the Head Coach just wants prospective student-athletes to contact him directly and not to pay someone else to sent a mass email. Listen in to hear some of the comments from that post and to hear my input.

A goal of Recruit Me and The Athletic Scholarship Podcast is help student-athletes find their "right fit" college and college sports team. I would challenge the athlete to research and understand as much as possible about what their college experience will be like. Also, I challenge them to try to find a fit and give themselves at least 2 years to their sport. Listen to this episode to hear about some questions you can ask and get some exercises to do to help you find your "right fit" college.

The goal of Recruit Me, LLC and The Athletic Scholarship Podcast is to help guide you to a "right fit" choice of a college for you. There are things I see and hear about in the recruiting world that are great successes, but there are things that upset me or make me sad. I covered in Episode 424 and 425 some pitfalls in recruiting journey. Pitfalls that happen during the recruiting journey and pitfalls that rear up after the student-athlete commits. Today I talk about commits committing to a level of play that is too high.
