But he also has Change Maryland, a policy/politics/PR entity started by the Governor in 2011 that has since morphed into his campaign organization. And he benefits from Red Maryland, a conservative blog started a decade ago that serves as a discussion platform for the ideas and politics of the right. This past weekend was the Conservative Political Action Conference here in Maryland. While derided by some, all conservatives should attend the conference at least once, and you should plan to get there in 2017.

Annapolis Democrats say they want to cut taxes but don't support Governor Hogan's tax cut plan.  We discuss.With the failure of the Physician Assisted Suicide Bill in the State Senate, I share some analysis you probalby have not read elsewhere that explains why no more than 2 Senators were willing to vote for this bill.When I wrote about cycling last week, it seems I stirred up a hornets' nest.  I will share some of the feedback, good and bad, the article engendered.

Tonight in Annapolis is the annual March for Life. And while it seems like we who are pro-life are in the minority, it is an opportunity for us to come together with pro-life folks from across the state to celebrate our victories over assisted suicide and to make our case with our elected officials.

We hear from House Minority Leader Nic Kipke as the General Assembly session passes the half-way point. We delve into some of the legislation making way through the Assembly, including some attempts to thwart the efforts of Gov. Larry Hogan. Transportation funding may be determined by a formula. Gov. Hogan puts over 3 billion dollars into the Purple Line, and marshals his supporters to nudge legislative leaders to support his redistricting plan. There is a hoopla over hospital funding, and Physician-Assisted Suicide may be dead for this session. We hear about gun-bill day in the House & Senate, and Monday's annual March for Life. There's a proposal to help commuters who use the Key Bridge. Capital punishment may be coming back, at least for those who kill cops. Mandatory paid leave may be coming to the state, and we get a campaign update from Sam Faddis. Maryland GOP Committeeman Louis Pope talks about Super Tuesday, and we hear some clips from former Pennsylvania governor Tom Corbett's speech to Anne Arundel Republicans.

It's great news that common sense has defeated the so called "Death with Dignity" assisted suicide bill, and that its lead sponsor announced he would not bringing it back in 2017. While a victory over the death cult is great, we still have a lot of work to do, including supporting Governor Hogan's redistricting plan and opposing mandatory paid sick leave.
