This is something i'm very passionate about.  In the lds/mormon community a lot of people get judged for coming home early from their mission.  A lot of people also feel the need to pretend like every second of their mission was wonderful and exciting.  Both of these are harmful positions to take.  It's ok to not love everything about your mission.  Its ok to come home early from your mission.  h*ck its ok to not even serve a mission.  people should not look at you any differently.

We had a baby appointment today.  Maddy is 37 weeks pregnant.  We never could have expected the pregnancy we've had.  In just a few short weeks the coronavirus (COVID-19) has completely flipped our life on its head.  We talk about preparing for the pregnancy, our hospital experience, the precautions the doctors are taking, and facing our fears.  We are making an emphasis to be prepared without being fearful.  It's not easy.  There are a lot of uncertainties right now.

I met Chris at an art show in Salt Lake City.  He was kind and generous.  I sat down and talked with him in this podcast about a wide variety of topics.  I knew he was an artist but I was shocked to find out just how interesting he was.  He told me about his relationship with his art.  He works as a product concept artist at a major corporation.  He also is a surfer, ex navy, kayaker, architect, engineer, and more.  Him and his wife basically redid their entire home by hand.  He is filled with stories and a unique perspective.  he talked to me about civil war history, cosmology, mechanical engineering, gardening, baking, ancient humans, supernovas, and much more.  Give this one a listen.

Kyle has started his own side gig that he has grown to a successful business. He passively owns Red Carpet Cleaning, a franchise-able carpet cleaning company that already has two offices and is looking to add 8 more by the end of the year.  He does this while maintaining high performance at his full time job.  He is a natural entrepreneur and salesman.  He started as a elementary school teacher.  After doubling his yearly salary in one summer, he decided to move his career a different direction.
