In today's episode of The Referral Bench Podcast, Phil and Ian talk with Michael Morten, Owner of Morten Design, Co.
Michael grew up in an entrepreneurial household with his parents starting multiple businesses while growing up. He started working in his family's motorsports manufacturing business in junior high making parts after school. Over the years he worked nearly every job in the business from production to shipping to sales to management. He eventually found running the design and marketing side of the business was seriously fun.
Helping forge a strong brand saw the company grow in awareness in the racing community and gain interest from OEMs like Ford and General Motor and other industries outside of motorsports. He always took pride when people said they thought the company was much larger because of the touch points they had with the business and the quality of the products.
Michael decided to start his own business, Morten Design Co, in 2015 to help other companies build a strong impact after noticing so many struggled with inconsistent branding. He thought he could bring his experience of design work. brand development and management to other small and medium sized businesses to help them attract better clients. He now works with clients on brand creation and strategy, logo development, and illustration. Michael also creates stickers and hand made art prints of his own illustrations and sells them at local boutique stores in the Denver area, as well as his Etsy store.
