  • Why High Achievers Struggle in Love—And How to Fix It with Katarina Polonska

Hey everyone! I’m so excited to be back with another episode of The Relationship Circle Podcast, and this one is gold! I’m chatting with Katarina, a high-performance executive relationship coach and the founder of the Successfully in Love Method. Katarina helps successful executives and entrepreneurs become as accomplished in their relationships as they are in their careers—because let’s be honest, if you’re crushing it at work but struggling in love, you’re not alone. ā¤ļø

Katarina gets it—she’s been there herself. In this episode, we dive into why successful, type-A individuals often struggle in love and how childhood wounds and subconscious blocks could be sabotaging your romantic relationships. Katarina breaks down how the same ambition and drive that make you successful in your career can also create barriers to intimacy and connection. She also explains how healing those blocks can not only improve your love life but also take your professional success to the next level.

We also talk about the ā€œpower struggleā€ phase in relationships—why it’s completely normal, how to navigate it without losing connection, and how moving through it can lead to a deeper, more secure relationship. Katarina shares her 3-phase Successfully in Love Method to help you clear emotional blocks, reconnect with yourself (and your partner), and create the relationship you’ve always wanted.

If you’ve ever thought, ā€œWhy is love the one thing I can’t seem to figure out?ā€ā€”this episode is for you. Katarina’s insights on attachment theory, subconscious patterns, and healthy communication are absolute game-changers. Trust me, you don’t want to miss this one! šŸ’–

  • Good Boundaries, Good Behaviours, and Goodbye!

It’s goodbye for now, but don’t worry - it’s not goodbye forever! Welcome to the final episode for Season 2 of The Relationship Circle podcast. It’s been an incredible season with some fantastic guests who have shared their wisdom and experience along the way, and who have hopefully inspired you to feel so much more confident and capable in your own dating adventures. I’m not letting you go without one more advice session though - this week’s episode is focusing on elevating your self-awareness of behaviours and boundaries. Women can often be people-pleasers, who don’t want to stir the pot and offend anyone by calling them out on their bad behaviours. But the standard that you walk past, is the standard you accept! We’re looking into the critical importance of setting clear and appropriate boundaries that respect your needs, and then recognising the way your partner responds to them. Whilst their reaction is a reflection of them, how you then respond is a reflection of your own willingness to grow. So to end the season, I’m sharing my self-awareness strategies for the role you play in changing your partner’s actions. Don’t let the rose-coloured glasses fool you - you have the power to shape your relationship!

Take the wheel and get back in the driver’s seat of your life:
šŸ’– Recognising the good behaviours along with the bad
šŸ’– Setting clear boundaries to allow for growth in a relationship
šŸ’– Self-awareness of the standard you are willing to accept
šŸ’– Taking back your power: change the things that you can control!

And that’s a wrap for Season 2 - make sure you subscribe to be the first to know when Season 3 launches near the end of the year. We’ve got so much more to learn and share with each other, and I can’t wait to see you all soon!

  • No More Mr. Nice Guy with Jason Lange

You’ve probably dated a self-confessed ā€˜nice guy’ before: someone who paid for all the dinners, got you flowers, and was great with all your friends. But where a true nice guy and a not-so-genuine nice guy differ is in their authenticity and their expectations of what they deserve to receive from doing so! We’re breaking down how you can spot the difference in this week’s episode! Our guest is Jason Lang, a men’s embodiment coach, group facilitator, and evolutionary guide, aiming to provide opportunities and support for men’s personal growth. He’s also a certified ā€˜No More Mr Nice Guy’ coach, a program for men struggling with a fear of making women uncomfortable, which can then in turn hold them back from forming authentic connections. With society’s strongly conflicting views of how a typical ā€˜man’ should act when it comes to pursuing women, it can be difficult to find a healthy balance. Jason helps open our eyes to a male’s view of relationships, and how their partners can support them in healthy expressions of their emotions. We discuss the power of give-and-take in relationships and encourage those newly dating to create a safe space for both sides to share their needs and desires - you’ll be shocked at the difference in can make between a fizzle-out and forever. Forget about men being from Mars - they’re also just trying to get by in the same dating world as we are!

    We’re taking a different perspective:
šŸ™…ā€ā™‚ļø Benefits of embodiment practices for men (and their partners!)
šŸ™…ā€ā™‚ļø Leadership in relationships - the power of being able to lead and also follow
šŸ™…ā€ā™‚ļø Mutual trust allows for vulnerability for both sides of a relationship
šŸ™…ā€ā™‚ļø What makes a ’nice guy’: good intentions and covert contracts

  • How Do We Jump Back Into Dating When We’re Scared of Getting Hurt Again?

All the red flags that were too hard to ignore, all the time wasted, all the disappointing ends to relationships: it’s enough to make you give up on the idea of dating entirely! Even for the most confident of women, those bad dating experiences can shatter your confidence and make you question everything. Whether you’re asking yourself if you can cope with getting hurt and rejected again, or if you’re worried you’ll just repeat the same patterns over and over again, it can be incredibly intimidating to put yourself back out there. But take a deep breath, lift your chin up, and get ready to take that leap! On this week’s episode, I’m addressing the biggest problem I hear from women all the time: how do I get back into the game without being so scared I’ll get hurt again? It’s all about reframing negative experiences into something positive. I’m giving you my strategies for success, from building and practising your relationship skills outside of the dating game, to looking deep inside for what you truly want out of a relationship and then having the confidence to not accept anything less. Remember that ALL of your emotions are always valid - I’m encouraging you to embrace vulnerability as your superpower, not your weakness!

Your first steps on your new dating journey:
ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ Becoming okay with being vulnerable - it’s the only way to be authentic
ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ Setting realistic expectations for yourself, and for your potential partner
ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ Looking out for yourself in a constructive and self-loving way throughout the process
ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„ What to do if you do get hurt (it’s not the end of the world, I promise!)

Tune into this week’s episode as we look past all the fears and distractions trying to cloud your judgement, and look at the true realities of dating. You are the one in charge of your outcomes - we’re reclaiming our dating power knowing at the end of the day, you’ll be okay.

  • Why Women Worry About Being Alone Forever: Healing Past Trauma to Get You Back in the Dating Game with Phoebe Rogers

It’s a classic catch-22: women worry that they’ll be alone forever, but also worry they don’t deserve true love. They’re too scared to reenter the dating world after ending yet another bad relationship that brought all their worst inner fears back to the surface. They might be left feeling like a small, scared child - and that’s exactly where this is all coming from, according to our guest this week, Phoebe Rogers! Phoebe is a clinical psychologist who specialises in dealing with ā€˜inner child trauma’, or to put it more simply, personality traits that have been created by wounds and unmet needs from our childhood and have stuck around to adulthood. She’s also extended her therapy expertise into the dating world, and we’re discussing some of her experiences coaching women and couples on healing that past trauma to become confident and attract real connections again. Embodying the spirit of what The Relationship Circle podcast is all about, Phoebe shares her best strategies for increasing your self-worth, becoming genuine in both the dating and relationship stages, and having a healthy connection with your own feelings and emotions. Phoebe takes our inner child by the hand as she guides us to recognising that the negative relationship patterns and narratives we keep telling ourselves are fact, are nothing more than fiction.

Some of Phoebe’s best advice in this episode:
šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ Healing your inner child: schema therapy, self-reflection, and showing kindness all parts of yourself (the good and the bad!)
šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ Releasing fears and rebuilding self-confidence when reentering the dating game
šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘§ Being authentic and realistic about what YOU want from a relationship
