In the world of coaching, you’re told to just show up, be yourself, and help your clients live their best life.
So, you go through coach training. You put in your hours for review, you build your website, and then you’re told because of the training you’ve received, people will be silly to not want to work with you!
The programs tell you to write a list of 50 people you know to share your recent accomplishments with because those people must know more people that need your coaching. And then, you’re just gonna have a flood of clients…..right?
On today’s episode, I’m sharing why simply being yourself is not enough in developing a strong, lasting, and memorable coaching and consulting business. And what it takes to develop a strong content strategy without spending years coming up with ideas.
You’re listening to The Resilient CEO Podcast.
IN THIS EPISODE, YOU’LL HEAR:
TELL ME WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND:
What has been your experience as a coach trying to get known as THE expert in your niche?
What do you feel is your unique selling proposition as a coach?
Do you leverage other people’s audiences to become more known in your niche?

In the world of online entrepreneurship - you spend A LOT of time alone.
Hanging out in your yoga pants, watching webinars - opting into all the freebies - getting stuck in FOMO on your social media newsfeed for 20 minutes, getting ready to plan your content, get your head right, wrapped around all the things you need to do……..which leads to an endless cycle of not taking action and feeling even more ……….
Alone.
Human beings, by nature are not meant to be alone. We thrive in groups, in communities, and with other human beings who we can relate to, share our frustrations with, and have a combined set of values with.
Taking this road by yourself without support from a community that gets you is the slowest path to gaining the success you want.
On today’s episode, I’m going to share with you why getting involved in a community of like minded people will help you sky-rocket your success. Also, you’ll learn how you can effectively build relationships - and it doesn’t involve spinning your wheels to gain traction in your business by cold messaging everyone with a lame inquiry about what they do. And I thought I would share more about the importance of being involved in the right community for you and how you can tell in the first 5 minutes if the online group you are exploring will be worth your time and effort.
This is The Resilient CEO Podcast.
IN THIS EPISODE, YOU’LL HEAR:
TELL ME WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND:
Seriously, tell me what you have LOVED about the online communities you’ve been in and what you feel has been missing. The comments are yours to share what’s on your mind.

What happens when you really niche down in your business?
This episode proves that developing a business around your passion and a specific audience will absolutely work well. It’s important to never give up on your dreams of influencing your audience in bigger ways. Even if you don’t think it’s possible right now, take a step back to see the bigger picture. Because being able to recognize that you might want to pivot to work in your passion is brilliant.
Today’s guest believes “emotional intelligence is something that needs to be cultivated throughout life, but even more so as a teenager.” She also knows the value of guiding families through challenging times as a teen life coach, mentor, and teacher.
Tahira Bell is a Teen Life Coach. She has been passionate about her work with teens since her days in the classroom. After earning her bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she combined her love for the sciences with her desire to make the subject real and relevant for young people as a teacher in the Atlanta metro area. Tahira later transitioned to The University of Pittsburgh and completed a master’s program in secondary science education as a high school teacher.
Aside from her experience as an educator, Tahira Bell is a graduate of the Teen Wisdom certified life coach training program, the only life coach training program with a curriculum that specifically focuses on coaching teen girls. She is also a graduate of the CAPP (Coaching And Positive Psychology) Institute and holds a certification in personal development coaching. She has spent over fifteen years working with girls also through community outreach efforts, as a tutor and mentor. Tahira also designs and implements the programming for the HYPE (Helping Young People Excel) of the Kendrell and Tahira Bell Bellievers foundation, a non-profit organization that she co-founded with her husband.

Do you think mindfulness is just a trendy thing that only yogis do?
Think again.
Mindfulness is a practice that has been used in boardrooms, in classrooms, and is even taught online. Influential business leaders such as Steve Jobs, Arianna Huffington, Russell Simmons, and Oprah Winfrey practice mindfulness and integrate meditation into their daily routines. Studies show those that practicing mindfulness daily can change the way our brains are programmed to look for and recognize success and to aid in eliminating ruminating patterns on a fixed and negative mindset.
Mark Waldrop, LPC joins us today to discuss how fear of the future and anxiety can contribute to an increase in stress and a reduced feeling of accomplishment as we run our business and live our lives. He shares a valuable exercise you can integrate now to improve your present and future self.
On today’s episode, I interview Mark Waldrop, Licensed Professional Counselor about the importance of integrating mindfulness into your day and how you can gain a tool that enriches your experience while you are running your business as an online CEO.
IN THIS EPISODE, YOU’LL HEAR:
