Sexual Harrassment is not a gendered issue, it’s a systemic one. 

A huge factor of this system is the path young boys take into manhood and the behaviours we’ve been indoctrinated to encourage under the umbrella of masculinity. 
But the suppression of emotions deemed “un-manly” prevent men from experiencing the depths of who they are as a huMAN first. 

 In this episode with Mike Dyson, founder of The Good Bloke Co, we turn a microscope on this process of becoming a man, and delve into the work Mike and his organisation are doing in this space, as they rewrite the masculinity and manhood narrative for generations to come.

A woman on a mission to shed light on dark reality, Walkley award-winning, West Australian journalist Caitlyn Rintoul shares her experience and insight into FIFO culture and the resource sector. 

Caitlyn attended hearings, and mine sites and has been passionately reporting on this issue finally giving it a voice. 

Caitlyn is one of the most passionate and inspiring journalists I've met and has relentlessly pursued to uncover what most of us have seen within the industry, sparking a groundbreaking parliamentary inquiry into the issue.  

I want to acknowledge that despite coming up against a plethora of barriers, Caitlyn persisted to bring this much-needed conversation into the light. 
I am so proud to have shared this conversation with someone who I believe has been integral in the progress of this issue.

With two infinite goals for the world of mining and his own life, Lachie shares with us his own brush with suicidality, the realities of the mental health space on site, and the pain of losing a mate or loved one to the black dog. 
It’s fair to say this man has earnt his stripes and is here to share with us the actionable steps he and others are taking to shift stigmas and cultures on site.

Lack of understanding, others are experiencing worse than me, I'm not sure what to do and I'll just put up with it, seem to be the common theme within HR.  

It seems everybody has a HR story and there are so many people who need the help. 

After starting in the Union, Ella Burke became the HR friend that people would come to. 

Ella had a close friend come to her dropping hints about issues at work.  
With hesitation, she finally shared what was happening, and as a new grad didn't know what to do. 
So Ella started independent HR company Employii to help her friend with advice and guidance and found it was a much needed service. 

We discuss, the difference between sexual harassment, unwanted sexual advances, the process and policy to follow if you need help and steps you can take to help others experiencing harassment.
