Rest Round episode 15 and surprise surprise the king is not back. We had our concerns, we voiced them all week, and it was a literal worst-case scenario for the former king of combat. We get into the good, bad, and ugly of last weekend’s main event. Awesome stuff top to bottom on the card as a whole though, minus the little lull that oddly was in the Wonderboy Burns fight. We get into it all from Jessica Eye losing again, to Ryan Hall putting in a puzzling performance, to Tai Tuivasa being the people’s hero.

We also react to the WILD Travis Fulton news and the fight announcement we’ve all been waiting for Nick Diaz back in the cage vs Robbie Lawler. Does he actually make the walk? Who knows? But until he pulls out we’ll remain excited.

Rest Round e14 and this one is a very late episode, which is exactly why we made it a bonus episode for you guys. That and last week was a horribly light week on news. So we are going to talk a little bit about what this fight means for Conor, where does he go if he loses, and can he actually make adjustments? There’s a lot of other fun stuff on this card so we get into a bit of that as well but save a lot of the discussion for next week.

Coming off 4th of July weekend you know we had to unofficially rank our most American songs. Could be biased but America has some of the best patriotic songs going.

Then as we said bonus episode, so to fill some extra time on the short week we rolled the betting portion of our show into the regular podcast. You can catch this every week there are fights over on YouTube and for the record, we are both pretty lights out at the moment so get on the jet while it’s soaring before it inevitably goes the way of a German Wings flight and crashes directly into the side of a mountain.

Rest Round episode 13 and we have a shorty week on our hands. Lackluster fights as far as action goes, but hey we have our next heavyweight title fight right? Tanner Boser bogusly KO’d OSP after a wild wall walk. Andre Fili was well in route to cashing our bets until what seems like the millionth no contest of the year struck. And really that’s about it.

This week on the Rest Round we run down UFC 263 which was the most stacked event we had in quite a minute. Unfortunately, the event didn’t deliver in the way in which we hoped. We had Izzy simply outclass Marvin Vettori again. Moreno put on a career performance. And Nate Diaz of course did the Nate Diaz thing where he loses 90% of the fight and has one moment he can hang his hat on as a W.

We had some TikTokers get their asses kicked. Nick Carter got straight up bullied by Lamar Odom. Oh and in a shock to nobody at all Claressa Shields looks like she needs some work on the ground.

Our draft we are sticking to summer as it’s more than en vogue here in the midwest so we are going to draft the greatest summer activities.

Rest Round e10 coming off the biggest boxing fight of the year ready to talk fighter pay and a little MMA too. We dive right into Arianne Lipski’s complete lack of any wrestling whatsoever. Miguel Baeza and Ponzi had damn near fight of the year. And then heavyweight just was SO heavyweight this weekend. I think we covered just about every heavyweight cliche that wasn’t two guys too tired to throw a punch at one another.

Onto more important things Logan Paul boxed Floyd Mayweather and survived. So much to unpack from how he survived, are the Paul’s getting better at boxing, and could they save MMA fighter pay?

We also draft a team of YouTubers to take into a street fight with us. All this week on the Rest Round.

What it do people, Rest Round e9 and we finally got a week off. I mean look even pornstars need a break from fucking eventually and we just had a little break from MMA to kick off summer. So we’ll briefly talk about Shogun Rua deciding to protect his health. A couple fight matchups including what might end up being the most scantily promoted bout of all time between Paige VanZant and Rachel Ostovich. Then the big announcement of the past week which is Tyron Woodley will be MMA’s next man up to try and beat Jake Paul at boxing.

Then we get down to brass tax and run through a draft of our top five summer beverages. A topic near and dear to our heart, so we are quite curious how these lists will be received.

Back on the betting train later this week but for now kick back and come hang out for a quick casual episode coming out of the break.

Rest Round e8, and after a little think out loud cold open we get into Rob Font’s lights out performance against Cody Garbrandt this weekend. The state of wrestling in general in the women’s flyweight division. And how though it was a bit odd to drop this announcement mid-broadcast Paul Felder completely nailed his retirement.

Then we kick over to Bellator where Cyborg steamrolled Leslie Smith… again. But the big story here was Valerie Loureda getting upset by unknown Hannah Guy. Rest assured we’ll talk about everything from the “stellar” submission defense Big John couldn’t stop talking about to Valerie smiling through the tears in the aftermath.

Josh Fabia also flips the script on Diego Sanchez and we close out with a draft of the best single weapons in MMA. It’s Memorial Day week my (American) friends, just a few more days of slogging through work till it’s nothing but burgers, boats, and brews for 72 straight hours. Cheers.

Alright, Alright, Rest Round episode 7 and it’s Chucky Olives lightweight division we’re all just living in it. UFC 262 went down this weekend in front of a full house in Texas and it delivered in spades. Hell, we even got an entertaining week, presser, and fight out of Kaitlyn Chookagian and that’s saying something. Unfortunate bi-product of this card kicking ass was we had to find out that Tony Ferguson is beyond shot.

Other things that went down; Jacare’s arm exploded, Shane Burgos checked in with one of the weirdest knockouts I’ve ever seen, and we can’t for the life of us figure out what’s wrong with Antonina Shevchenko.

Rumble Johnson is out stealing identities and Chuck Liddell, Lamar Odom, and Nick Carter are in a 3 way race to the celebrity boxing bottom.
