Delayed episode of the FMB Radio Show this week as we are shaking off the New Year’s hangover still. Nonetheless, plenty to talk about as the UFC announced a whole truckload of juicy fight matchups. Dana White has officially declared war with illegal streamers, whatever that means. UFC is going to be making it’s official big time move to ABC. Last unofficial rankings of the year so you know what that means – year end award time. And what a whacky year it’s been. We spent 10 months of it locked up in quarantine but thank you to our lord and savior, bald jesus himself, Dana White for putting fights on for pretty much the duration of this slog of a year.

This year we are passing out awards for fighter of the year, fight of the year, KO, submission, and funniest moment. There certainly are a couple of obvious ones where if you disagree you probably are blind or have an opinion that simply doesn’t matter. However there’s some others that will be reasonably contested. FMB Radio Show end of the year edition. It’s the last episode of the year and for the first time in a long time we have no fights to talk about. So it’s only fitting that we do what we do best and bullshit about 2020 as a whole. We talk COVID, winners, losers, and everything in between. Plus the MMA gods even blessed us with a little bit of news to close the year out.

Anthony Pettis finally reveals what belt he was talking about when he said he was making another title run. Jake Paul is officially-ish fighting Ben Askren. We finally know when Michael Chandler’s UFC debut will be. And we close 2020 out with as important a segment as any, and that’s checking up on how Tito Ortiz is doing as an elected city council person (hint: not great).

Unofficial rankings Christmas week so you know we’re keeping it festive over here. It’s been a dog’s asshole of year so hopefully we can squeeze in a few more absurd rankings worth a laugh or two. Last year we teed up our favorite Christmas songs, this year we are switching it up a bit and casting MMA personalities as Christmas characters. Any Christmas character, any Christmas movie, any MMA personality.

This week on the FMB Radio Show we’re talking the last card of 2020. While it wasn’t the Figgy Moreno card it was an excellent capstone on maybe the worst year ever. Consummate nice guy Wonderboy Thompson put on a clinic despite suffering what appears to be a completely severed quad. Perhaps the nice guy finishing first is a sign of things to come in 2021. Jose Aldo is officially back, or maybe he never left. In an absolutely unbelievable turn of events Greg Hardy in fact cannot wrestle. The people are asking, has Marlon Moraes lost his chin? Oh and Anthony Pettis is back (just in time to not be back as he’s leaving the UFC).

Henry Cejudo is bringing the cringe to the rap game. Then the two biggest pieces of news this week hands down are Dana White dropping his own promo video for owning COVID fearing pussies. Oh and Jake Paul effectively runs MMA now. Until Dillon Danis steps up to the plate and knocks this guy out we’re going to be hearing a lot more from the brothers Paul in the future.
