This week on unofficial rankings we had to pay homage to the man who has cost us piles of money over the past three years, Glover Teixiera. In honor of the old man we rank our favorite (well I ranked my favorite, Matt ranked the best) fighters over 40 years old. To qualify is easy, you just had to have a fight at 40 years of age or older.

Honestly, it may not be as high profile as our episode with Superfan but we have two pretty hotly contested lists here this should be closer on polls than the election.

It’s another new week which means we got another new episode of the FMB Radio Show. Coming fresh off another putrid offering from the UFC we are back to discuss Glover Teixeira’s improbable and maddening run to another title shot. Andrei Arlovski is having yet another career resurgence and we have decided Claudia Gadelha just hasn’t gotten any better since she started fighting.

We’re quite light on the news front this week but we still squeeze in Islam Makachev pulling out of his fight with RDA. Plus all your various MMA election stories from Dana White ripping Biden to Tito Ortiz getting a city council seat. I mean my god Huntington Beach are you really that low right now that you’re turning to Tito Ortiz for guidance?

Very special episode of unofficial rankings this week as we have our first guest on the show. And boy oh boy did we come out of the gates hot. First guest ever on unofficial rankings is none other than the man, the myth, the legend of MMA Twitter himself, Super Fan. Or for those of you living under a rock; @McGregorRousey on Twitter. Given we had one of MMA Twitter’s most notorious on the show we obviously had to rank the most annoying things about MMA Twitter. If you’re listening to this and thinking “are they talking about me”… ya we might be.

Little bit of a longer unofficial rankings than usual here as we obviously had a third person. That said, and I might be biased, but a solid foray into the guest world on the podcast. Shoutout to Super Fan for coming on and being the first guest of the show to just come rip it and talk nonsense with us. Hopefully this episode will usher in a new era of unofficial rankings.

FMB Radio Show back in the saddle with an election day special. I’m sure absolutely nothing controversial will be going on over at Twitter dot com today, least of all Bryce Mitchell’s thoughts on mask policy. Nonetheless, we have another episode fresh off Anderson Silva’s retirement. It’s sad but like if you’re a true Anderson fan you know this guy has been effectively retired for 7 years now. Bryce Mitchell is an actual problem for folks at featherweight.

We’ve also found out that Jon Jones can run at light speed whilst carrying a shotgun. Adesanya is making the move to 205, inching us closer to that sweet sweet Jon Jones fight we all want. And I know this isn’t our typical MO but tis the season to talk about fighter politics, or rather talk about people talking about fighter politics.

Unofficial rankings Halloween week, so you know we are getting on our candy grind. Last year we kept it negative and did our bottom five halloween candies. This year we are turning a new leaf and keeping it positive. Best five Halloween candies, head to head lists, draft style so we have no repeats. We both have some staples and we both have some reaches. Very curious to see who the people deem the victor.

This week it’s more Khabib hour than FMB Radio Show as we are talking all things Khabib. The weight cut, the fight performance, the retirement, who could pull him out of retirement, and of course GOAT talk. In case people forgot our boy Bobby Knuckles also put on a brilliant performance on Saturday, Nic has a bone to pick with DC, Tai Tuivasa is back, and we are ready to move Nathaniel Wood and Casey Kenny into ‘must watch’ territory.

Beyond that like we said we do the MMA thing and talk about the GOAT. It’s trope-ey, it’s stupid, but I will say since we are recording a little late this week and I’ve had time to listen to most other shows already, we do come at this from a different angle than most. Spoiler alert: Khabib still ain’t our GOAT. Rings count at the end of the day just ask Jordan and Brady.

Elsewhere Leon Edwards finally found himself probably the worst fight available and Ariel Helwani is still a squid.

Another week, that means another episode of Unofficial Rankings. This week we are coming off a card with a litany of A+ nicknames. We had The Korean Zombie, The Baltic Gladiator, The Georgian Viking, T-City, the list goes on. So it’s only fitting that we unofficially rank the all time great nicknames. Does not have to be nicknames of cool fighters, or even good fighters for that matter. If they have a badass nickname they make the cut. Only five spots a piece so there are obviously A TON of omissions.

This week on the FMB Radio Show the guys spend the first 20 minutes of the show sucking Brian Ortega’s dick over what easily was the best performance of his career. Jessica Andrade continues to make us laugh with just how much more athletic she is than seemingly every other woman in the UFC. James Krause might in fact actually be that dude and the UFC has two new legit prospects in Gamrot and Kutateladze.

Plus Mike Perry is finding himself on the thinnest of ice in a myriad of different ponds. Henry Cejudo has spent too much time at the burrito factory as of late. Kanye West continues to suck at making music in 2020. Then we finally get to our big time story which is MMA making it’s way over to mainstream sports and getting some shine on First Take and Undisputed. Always a good time when that happens and always a good time on the FMB Radio Show.

This week on unofficial rankings in honor of Joaquin Buckley delivering a Mortal Kombat jumping spin kick that should end up being KO of the year we are going to rank our wildest MMA KO’s of all time. Doesn’t necessarily need to be most violent, or most iconic. We’re talking strictly you see that KO and think “holy shit that was wild”.

As of late Nic’s rankings are absolutely washing in the polls, can Matt find 5 KO’s wild enough to steal a win this week?

Another lightning round this week on the FMB Radio Show. We’re getting plenty of quickie weeks in here as the UFC simply refuses to stack a card for us (until Khabib vs Gaethje of course). That said sometimes a quickie isn’t the worst thing in the world. We had Cory Sandhagen put on a damn show against Marlon “might be out of magic” Moraes. Edson Barboza looked about like we thought Edson Barboza would look. And Joaquin Buckley gave us an immediate knockout of the year contender.
