Rest Round e6 fresh off another jam packed weekend of fights and we’re here to talk about all of them (almost). We had PFL, Bellator, UFC, Boxing, probably some bum fights if you scour YouTube enough so there was plenty going on this weekend. Marina Rodriguez administered the ass whooping that we thought she would. Phil Hawes passed the eye test as we thought he would. And Neil Magny won another fight as a slight betting underdog by way of cardio and grit… like we thought he would.

Cowboy Cerrone has fell into the sunken place in his career. Over in Bellator Rumble Johnson almost had his comeback spoiled until he remembered he’s Anthony Rumble Johnson and murdered a guy. Canelo still looks unbeatable and in case you haven’t heard Jake Paul has Floyd Mayweather’s hat.

We talk a little bit about Josh Fabia going even further off the deep end of being a complete lunatic. And we recorded on mother’s day so you know we are dropping our unofficial rankings of top 5 MILFS.

We have a little lost episode situation on our hands here as we seemingly are too incompetent to figure out how to get this episode uploaded. But since the people have demanded to hear our expert opinions on Usman vs Masvidal it will be our cross to bear to get this god damn episode up.

So here we are attempt number 3 at Rest Round e4. Pray to Odin that this works.

Rest Round e5 and breaking news we are idiots and didn’t even realize episode 4 didn’t even go up. So hopefully this week we will be gracing you with a double episode if everything works out as it should. That said there were once again fights this weekend and I’m not just talking about Jiri sending Dom Reyes to the shadow realm. We had Josh Fabia slinging mud at everyone and single handedly ruining whatever positive legacy Diego Sanchez had left. We had the internet arguing over Jessica Eye’s OnlyFans pricing (which is absurd). And we had myself fighting with myself over why these girls who can’t box continue to sign up for BKFC.

Then we rightfully close this show out with our rankings of the top 5 potentially most profitable OnlyFans accounts in MMA. Gotta be honest I don’t think anyone could guess our lists off hand and I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing.

Ok so apparently something got fucked up in uploading e4 of the pod… which of course would happen immediately following an absolute banger of a card like Usman vs Masvidal. So we’ve had people asking how the hell we fell asleep at the wheel on that one and to be honest I don’t have anything for you. Anything but a re-upload of that episode. So you’ll just get double eps this week. Hopefully this works and apologies for being a moron (but if you listen to this show you already knew that).

Rest Round episode 4 back at it again after an awesome weekend of fights (unless your name rhymes with swiss glideman). Honestly with the exception of Weidman things couldn’t have gone better for the UFC’s return to a live audience. Awesome performances all up and down the card, the energy in the room was palpable. Job well done top to bottom.

We’ll get into what’s next at welterweight, how does Nick Diaz fit into that picture, and what’s next for the ladies. Dana White no showed on his bet on the Ben Askren fight in the most Dana White fashion possible.

Then cherry on top we rank the top things that are better with people.

Rest Round episode 3 and wooooaaaa nelly did we have some fights this week. We had good fights, we had shit fights, we had circus fights, and everything in between. We skim over the entire UFC undercard as that was a load of hot garbage (seriously 4 split decisions in a row?). Bellator’s light heavyweight tournament continues to be the entertainment representation of “if a tree falls and nobody hears it…”. That said, Robert Whittaker put on an absolutely gorgeous performance and being the Bobby Knuckles fans we are we wax poetic about it for a good portion of the show.

Then we get into the juicy stuff. Purist or not the best event, by virtue of it being a train wreck, that was on this weekend was the Jake Paul vs Ben Askren fight over on Triller. We had musical acts, we had fake nut shots, and we had our savior Ben Askren get iced out cold in less than two minutes. So much to get into from Triller and then cherry on top we build our own broadcast booth for unofficial rankings.

Rest Round episode two and holy fights batman. Three major events this past week between ONE’s debut on TNT, the “still around from 2014” strap that was on the line between Bader and Machida in Bellator, and Kevin Holland’s latest wrestling lesson over in the UFC.

It wasn’t all bad though; for starters the squad is en fuego on the gambling frontier explained mostly due to the fact that we mistook the start time of the fights so the live bullets weren’t fully in the chamber. Secondly there was a lot of other stuff on the UFC card to be excited about. Mackenzie Dern coming along as a legit contender, Arnold Allen and Super Sodiq both being very legit, Jack Shore keeps the hype train rolling, and Mateusz Gamrot showed he’s as talented as I imagined him to be.

We dip our toes a little bit into Rose Namajunas possibly hating China. Then round out the show with a DMX song draft in honor of his passing. Almost totally unrelated to MMA, but DMX has a god damn catalogue man. It’s always sad when people go but especially seeing all the videos of not just his crazy concerts but just all the random shit he would get into, this one hit right in the pills. So the least we could do is draft out our favorite songs of his.

Well at long last it’s here folks. Episode numero uno of ‘The Rest Round’. And in classic us fashion we picked what is one of the lamer weeks in recent history to drop the first episode on. But alas, here we are. We had a boat load of fight announcements this week some good, some ok, some that make no sense at all.

Speaking of things making no sense at all the Venum pay structure was released and surprise surprise mother fuckers, it’s big trash. That one guy lost his finger curtesy of a kick so naturally us two non-medical professionals try to work out the physics of that situation.

Then to close the show we nerd out on grappling. BJJ standout Ffion Davies is making the move to MMA (also a member of the bae watch so check her out if you want to see a gorgeous chick kick ass) or at least we think she is. The Olympic wrestle offs also took place over the weekend and for fans of real March Mat-ness there’s a lot to take in there too.

In honor of; our unofficial rankings this week ended up being best transitions to MMA from wrestling.

I wish we could’ve kicked off the first episode of The Rest Round with something funny like Jon Jones winning the heavyweight strap off a nine day bender, but this is what you got. Only onward and upward from here people.

FMB Radio Show back again and it’s officially Francis Ngannou’s world and we all are just living in it. The uncrowned king has been crowned. It wasn’t a McGregor vs Eddie Alvarez performance but for Francis it may as well have been. We saw sprawls, patience, and of course violence. We also saw a totally different Tyron Woodley until we didn’t. The Suga Show is right back in the prime time slot. Oh and casual little reminder the boys are locked in on the gambling board right now, 9 for 11 this weekend as a show.

The Ben Askren Jake Paul soap opera continues rolling on and it’s worse than I think we could’ve imagined. Miesha Tate is back, and coming for gold…. I guess? And then we close the show ranking the most intimidating people on the planet.

March Madness is unofficially underway here on the FMB Radio Show and as of this podcast, the boys are down as bad if not worse than nobody in particular who doesn’t want strangers on the internet sleeping with other strangers on the internet. I guess that’s why we talk MMA and not basketball. That said this week we get into Kevin Holland vs Derrick Brunson and some of the other action from this past weekend’s card (which of course we actually did really well betting on).

The UFC announced a whole boatload of fight cancellations, replacements, and new matchups. Gordon Ryan has signed with ONE Championship in the biggest MMA free agent landing since Michael Chandler. Then we usually keep the personal stuff out of it here, but it was such a wild week on MMA Twitter that we just had to get our high school gossip on and talk about everything that shook out on the internet last week. Nothing personal though, of course.

Unofficial rankings this week was best tournaments of all time. No spoilers but I can assure you specifically the 2021 NCAA Basketball tournament didn’t make the list for your boys.

FMB Radio Show is back guys and gals and the illegal strikes just keep coming. Total bummer of card and obvious well wishes to Belal Muhammad who hopefully doesn’t pull a Bisping and can actually keep all his eyes. All in all this card kind of sucked so not much to touch on there. We did get a sneak peak at the Venum kits and shocking news everyone… they suck. Drama at Serra Longo? We sure hope not. And Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua is signed sealed and delivered, but unfortunately it’s coming in the classic “we have to do this twice no matter what” package boxing loves.

Then we get into ranking our favorite brackets and boy oh boy is this segment filled with some nostalgia. I might just spend the rest of my week going online campaigning people draw up these brackets so I can get mad about them online.

It’s March Madness week folks between that and Kevin Holland fighting this weekend we got some gambling to do so let’s get to it.
