Episode 38. Merry Christmas! This week we discuss Happy! And we compare and contrast the comic book and the tv show based off of it. Happy! is about an alcoholic ex-cop turned hitman that has a heart attack. When he wakes up he can see a flying blue unicorn telling him to go save a little girl who was kidnapped by someone dressed as Santa. It is balls to the wall insane.

Episode 37. This week we discuss Rise of the Guardians! Melissa pitched Christmas… adjacent films and Rise of the Guardians fits that bill perfectly. It follows Jack Frost as he is chosen to be a new member of The Guardians, a secret group of beings, like Santa and the Easter Bunny, who help protect the joy of the children all around the world. The reason Jack Frost is picked to join their ranks is because a new threat has arisen to destroy the world!

Episode 36. This week we discuss Kino's Journey: A Beautiful World - The Animated Series. Dang that's a mouthful. However, Kino's Journey is an anime that follows a girl, Kino, and her talking motorcycle, Hermes as they travel from country to country discovering new people and cultures while trying to find the beauty in it all. For this episode we watched the version of Kino's Journey from 2017, but there is also an older version from 2003 that is equally worth the watch.

Episode 35. This week we discuss Little Shop of Horrors! Who doesn't love a little Rick Moranis is their lives? Rick plays an unassuming florist that discovers a new plant that feeds on blood. But the more blood he gives it, the more blood the plant wants. Little Shop of Horrors is a horror comedy musical we are certain you will have fun watching.

Episode 34. This week we discuss The Forest, a French Netflix original crime show. It's a short six episode series about a girl who goes missing in the forest after receiving a weird phone call and a woman who can't remember her past.

Episode 33. This week we discuss an anime all about office romance among otaku (That's basically a nerd for you uninitiated folks). Wotakoi: Love is Hard For Otaku follows a young woman who starts a new job but feels like she has to hide that she is an otaku from her other co workers. However she quickly finds that a few other coworkers are otaku as well, her interests are nothing to be ashamed of, and even love.

Episode 32. This week we discuss a graphic novel from Image comics called Plutona. It follows a group of young kids who happen to find a dead body in the woods one day after school. Does that remind you of Stand By Me? Well, what if that dead body was of the worlds greatest superhero? Then what if it all just gets worse? That… is Plutona.

Episode 31. This week we discuss An American Werewolf in London. It's a horror comedy film both written and directed by John Landis of The Blues Brothers fame as well as many other hit movies. The film follow two friends as they are backpacking across the English countryside but get attacked by a werewolf along the way leaving one of them dead and the other doomed to become a werewolf in few weeks time. And goodness gracious the makeup and effects in this movie are amazing. If nothing else, watch this film just for that.
