Beverly Hills Cop keeps all of the edgy and sometimes over the top action vibe of the original movies and modernizes it to great success. Fall Guy is a classic actioner with a charismatic lead in Ryan Gosling and great humor. Boy Kills World is a surprise delight. A brutal action comedy with the amazing H. John Benjamin playing the internal voice of Bill Skarsgaard's deaf/mute character.

Flickin’ It with Matt and Will is getting through the backlog with movies we’ve watched this summer. On episode 120 we go into some horror with Abigail, Longlegs, and Late Night with the Devil. All three movies fall into the category of horror, despite each being very unique. Starting with Abigail, this movie presented as a typical shock/jump scare horror movie that is all too common these days. What we actually got was a pleasant surprise of a horror movie where the victims are highly unlikable people who you still want to win. It also features a child actor that can gasp actually ACT! Longlegs is another win in a long string of amazing performances for Nicholas Cage. Absolutely creepy with a unique plot and a nice twist at the end, this movie will be sure to please. And Late Night With the Devil is an even more unique horror movie that is beautifully shot and acted. A perfect homage to the realism of late night tv shlock in the 70’s with incredible practical effects. Three incredible horror movies that you should all check out.

Episode 20 of Matt and Mike Read Comics is magical. We dive into the weird world created by Neil Gaiman in the Books of Magic. Taking place in the DC universe, The Books of Magic follows young Tim Hunter as he is approached by the Trenchcoat brigade and asked to make a decision; be involved in the world of magic or not. Tim can either become the greatest magician to ever live, or the most evil. The choice would be his and familiar faces like John Constantine and Mister E are there to help show him the possible ramifications of his decision. Very much in the voice of Nail Gaiman, and featuring some of his other classic characters, this book delivers a beautiful story about choice and the future. Special guest Melissa is back on the pod!!

On episode 174 of Talking Tacos the boys are robbed of a win. That’s right, we get back to talking about Formula 1 because Lando Norris (Matt’s boy) was absolutely robbed of a victory. By being forced by his team to slow down and let his teammate, Oscar Piastri, close a SIX SECOND gap in order to pass for the win, Lando was robbed of a victory that was rightfully his all because the team promised poor baby Oscar that he could get a win too. Bullshit. Also, Biden dropped out of the race, which nobody saw coming, he said sarcastically. Hot sauces and fun for all!

Bringing together characters like Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, Daphne Keane’s X-23, and Channing Tatums NEVER BEFORE SEEN MOTHER FUCKING GAMBIT, this movie pays extreme fan service while also telling a great story that gives closure and sets the stage for more to come.
