When you know and recognize you are forgiven from your sin, you are set free to forgive those who have wronged you. You understand that no harm anyone can do to you compares to the offense of your sin against God. And you have a newfound appreciation as the recipient of the seemingly reckless grace of God for what it feels like to be on the other side of the equation.

Why is it so hard for us to forgive some people? Pastor Tim points out that forgiveness can be complicated, but God commands us to forgive others. Though people may sin against us in some pretty big ways, no one has sinned against us as much as we have sinned against our Creator. How much more then should we extend that same forgiveness to others?

My counselor obeyed Paul’s command in Romans 12:15, “Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.” This command from God is not only for mental health professionals with degrees and certifications but for all of us. When we celebrate the victories of others and grieve with those experiencing sorrow, we show them the love of Christ.

Pastor Tim dives into the book of Job and takes us into a conversation about the importance of entering into the joy and sorrow of others.

If you are in the midst of conflict, maybe God is asking you to be a peacemaker. But know that when you pray for resolution or open eyes, God might not send another person to resolve the conflict. He might be calling you to be that peacemaker.

Pastor Tim challenges listeners to "live out" the qualities from the Sermon on the Mount. While the temptation is to treat people how they treat us, God calls us to respond differently.

In this digital age, deleting, unfriending, unfollowing, ghosting, blocking, and canceling those who have offended us have become the new norm. But as believers, God calls us to a much higher standard. You see, our God isn't a God of cancel culture – He's a God of reconciliation. If we mess up, He continues to love us. If we turn away from Him, He welcomes us back with open arms. No matter what we say or do, God promises to forgive and love us unconditionally, and He commands us to do the same.

Pastor Tim helps answer the question, "How should we view our relationships with others, specifically those that have wronged or may disagree with us?" He reminds us God does not give up easily on us, and as believers, He commands us to do the same.
