Our society has a way of making the mundane amazing. Yet, as Christians, we have the most amazing event coming, the return of Jesus, and we often seem ambivalent about it. Although we don’t know the date or time when Jesus will return, we do know that He will! This is a moment-by-moment decision, and each of us must continually ask ourselves the following questions: “Am I ready?” and “Am I living a holy life?”

Foundations matter, don't they? Structural foundations support and protect the homes and buildings above them. Relationships need a foundation of trust to make them last. Similarly, our lives, too, require a solid foundation if we are to endure the challenges that inevitably come our way.

Is the foundation you are standing on firm? Pastor Tim is back this week with a message on the Parable of the Two Foundations. Sharing from Matthew 7:24-27, Pastor Tim reminds us that we need a solid foundation – a life built on applying God's Word to our lives – if we are to withstand life's storms.

He sees your desire for friendship and community, and God wants that for you. After all, it was God who said in Genesis 2:18, “It is not good for the man to be alone.” (Genesis 2:18)
