Colonial Militiamen began firing on British occupational troops who had already attacked Colonial forces at Lexington Green and at the North Bridge in Concord. We will discuss the events of April 19th, 1775 tonight and also the 100 simultaneous shoots The Appleseed Project will be running across the nation to honor the men and women who stood in ranks that day to safeguard and protect their rights and begin the events that would birth this nation.

236 years, 11 months and three weeks ago, thousands of men and women worked together standing in ranks under fire, gathering supplies, spreading the alarm, rounding up horses and equipment to assist the Colonial militias from the dozens of cities and towns surrounding Boston. We are only a week away from the April 21/22 Patriots' Day Shoots that are the Appleseed Project's signature weekend. We will have over one hundred events on that weekend all across the nation.
