  • Episode 89: Onion Gang
Welcome to Episode 89 of The Ringo Zone! We’re talking about Onion Gang!
Kayla here, and this episode sure jams a whole lot of garbage into one hefty bag. For starters, we’ve got FIVE of the six Ringo Zone hosts on the horn. After giving ourselves forest-hobo names, we discuss Onion’s place on the Autism spectrum, Vidalia’s rank as a mom on Steven Universe, the blatant call outs to Undertale, and to top off the episode we go on the hunt for the Ed Edd n’ Eddy porn that Rebecca Sugar drew in her rebellious phase. If you’re curious about the drawing I did of Steven with a mouthful of cigarettes or the plugs at the end of the episode, you can find them here:

And if you’re curious about the porn we were looking at, I’m sure you can track it down yourselves.

Welcome to Episode 88 of The Ringo Zone, we’re talking about Three Gems and a Baby!
This episode marks the return of our favorite guest, Cyril the Wolf! Herein, we discuss Greg’s musical development alongside his character, the fickleness of facial hair, Pearl’s murderous leanings, the Cool Kids, and voice acting for babies.

  • BONUS: Samurai Jack Season 5 Premiere (w/ Max & Mickey)
It’s a Ringo Zone bonus to honor the return of a great cartoon!
Max here! In this episode, me and that ol’ pile o’ defective horseshoes we around these parts call “Mickey” talk about the return of Samurai Jack, and discuss the first episode of Season 5 on Adult Swim! In this episode we discuss the bowling industry’s relationship with Cartoon Network, our own experience with the show, and have a big discussion on changes we’d like to see in the landscape of American animation! It’s 56 minutes and 22 seconds of fun, fanboying, and a distinctly un-Ringo-like lack of hating each other. Come and ride the happiness train with us!

  • Episode 87: Gem Harvest
Welcome to The Ringo Zone! This is Episode 87 and we’re talking about Gem Harvest!
In this episode, Max and Kayla go head to head in the ring about Andy DeMayo while Dillon refs the match. Additionally we discuss Peridot’s old habits dying hard, how Greg must have been the “tall girl” type since High School, and most importantly, Pumpkin.
Thank you for tuning in, we all appreciate your continued listenership. You can harvest additional Ringo Zone material and previous episodes on our Tumblr and Facebook pages. Our official website, theringozone.com, will be available again soon. You can also search for The Ringo Zone on iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud, or wherever you listen to podcasts. The next episode SHOULD be Onion Gang, but it might be Three Gems and a Baby. We’re doing our best.

  • Episode 86: Last One Out of Beach City
Welcome to Episode 86 of The Ringo Zone! We’re talking about Last One Out of Beach City!
Kayla here, and in this episode, we have a difficult time not straying from the content of Last One Out of Beach City (true to the nature of the podcast), but we actually end up telling some fun stories, like what concerts we’ve been to recently, how Max almost died, and most importantly how a rhino was shot in a zoo in France. For those of you here to actually hear what we have to say about Steven Universe, we also cover Pearl’s character arc thus far, Amethyst’s wingman skills, and Steven FINALLY talking about how Pearl almost let him die that one time.
Thank you for tuning in, we all really appreciate your continued listenership. You can get your highly demanded podcast-adjacent Ringo Zone stuff as well as previous episodes on our Tumblr and Facebook pages. Our official website will be back up shortly. This episode featured Dillon, Max, Mickey and myself. The next episode will be a little out of order since we’ll be reviewing Gem Harvest, but don’t fret if you’re an Onion fan, we’ll be coming back to that one the week after. Wow, look at all that scheduling. The hole we are digging for ourselves is so deep now.

  • Episode 85: Mindful Education
Welcome to Episode 85 of The Ringo Zone; We’re talking about Mindful Education!
In this episode, Dillon took notes for the first time in a long time, so there are some actually really interesting topics that are brought up, like the similarities between how Stevonnie deals with her issues and EMDR therapy, what kind of programming language Pearl might use for her HoloPearls, and of course how Max is never happy.
Thank you for tuning in, we all appreciate your continued listenership. You can mindfully educate yourself about additional Ringo Zone material and previous episodes on our Tumblr and Facebook pages. Our official website, theringozone.com, will be available again soon. This episode featured Dillon, Max, and Kayla. The next episode might be Last One Out of Beach City. I’m starting to realize I can make no promises to y’all about this kind of thing.

  • Episode 84: Future Boy Zoltron (2 Episodes in 1!)
Welcome to Episode 84 of The Ringo Zone! This episode is a special double-sided dynamic duo of an episode, and fittingly so, because we’re talking about Future Boy Zoltron! On Side A, Dillon and Evan are live at the Apollo theatre, discussing the duality of creativity and depression, Evan’s radio drama “Spooky Street,” and the rarity of a serious episode of The Ringo Zone. On Side B, the rest of the Ringo crew, Kayla, Max, Mickey, and Sabboth stick to important topics like Lars and Sadie never noticing Steven’s cosplays and Steven paying people to let him give them life advice. If you’re not the reading type and skipped this synopsis, never fear, because I call in from the editing room as a navigator to provide a little guidance for you listeners in this wacky combo episode.
Thank you for tuning in, we all appreciate your continued listenership. You can fill your eyes and ears with additional Ringo Zone material, such as previous episodes, on our official website, theringozone.com, and on our tumblr and Facebook by the same name. You can also search for The Ringo Zone on iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Find us, like us, rate us, reblog us, jam with us about feelings, and most importantly tell your friends about us! Exposure really does help us out.
This episode featured the Ringo Crew in its entirety! The next episode will be Mindful Education. I know I said that last time, but we like to keep you guessing.

  • Episode 83: Bismuth
Welcome to Episode 83 of The Ringo Zone, and it’s none other than our BIG BISMUTH EPISODE.
Kayla here, and in this much anticipated and labored-over dissection of what is unilaterally one of the best episodes of Steven Universe ever, Dillon, Evan, Max and Kayla waste no time and get straight to arguing about topics such as: Why does nobody ask Bismuth why she was bubbled in Lion’s mane? Do gems have guns? Which attempt at recording Bismuth is this? Why does Max have a slide whistle?
Thank you for tuning in, we all really appreciate your continued listenership. You can get your spicy center-spread, podcast-adjacent Ringo Zone stuff, as well as previous episodes, on our official website, theringozone.com, and on our Tumblr and Facebook pages by the same name. You can also search for The Ringo Zone on iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Find us, like us, rate us, reblog us, send me specifically your best burrito-topped-with-chips-and-wrapped-in-a-pizza recipe recommendations, and most importantly tell your friends about us! Exposure really does help us out.
This episode was a joy to record and edit, I promise you’ll be as satisfied listening to it as you could be when listening to this garbage fire of a podcast. The next episode we review will be Mindful Education. Probably. Maybe. Things change. Life is unpredictable. The Ringo Zone can’t be too reliable, it goes against our M.O.

  • Episode 82: Buddy's Book
Welcome to Episode 82 of The Ringo Zone! Editor and temporary Captain of the Ringo Boat Kayla here, and in this episode I try my best to steer Max and Mickey in the general direction of coherence as we discuss Buddy’s Book.
There isn’t a whole lot of content in Buddy’s Book besides the exploration of the Steven Universe world map, so this episode is on the short side. I can assure you however that we cram it full to the gills with important topics like the number of times in the series Connie sweeps the contents of a desk onto the floor, the importance of putting your Lion into park, whether or not Buddy is Rose’s type, and of course, the lengths to which Max will go to yell at Mickey.
Thank you for tuning in, we all really appreciate your continued listenership. You can get your medically inadvisable overdose of additional Ringo Zone material, such as previous episodes, the occasional piece of art (quality notwithstanding), and a dutiful sense of apathy on our official website, theringozone.com, and on our Tumblr and Facebook pages by the same name. You can also search for The Ringo Zone on iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Find us, like us, rate us, reblog us, gently lie to us and say we are all strong 7’s, and most importantly tell your friends about us! Exposure really does help us out.
As it was written in my job description, I halved the length of this episode from the raw recording in order to make Max feel victimized. The next episode will (finally) be our much anticipated Bismuth episode!

  • Episode 81: Know Your Fusion
Welcome to Episode 81 of The Ringo Zone wherein the Chosen People Max and Kayla corner Dillon and force feed him Hamentaschen.
In this episode we (kind of) talk about Know Your Fusion, and I dutifully do my best to string together the bits of actual Steven Universe discussion in post. We make certain to note that Rebecca Sugar is abducting actresses from Orange is the New Black, discuss the legal side of voice acting, raise a collective eyebrow at Sardonyx’s behavior, and throw an appropriate amount of shade at whoever the hell leaked ALL of the Out of this World Steven Bomb onto the CN App. Additionally there’s talk of the metaphysics of the Temple, Justice League Dark, and just how long Dillon might tolerate me.
Thank you for tuning in, we all appreciate your continued listenership. You can stick your hand into a dark and squicky hole to find additional Ringo Zone material, as well as previous episodes, on our official website, theringozone.com, and on our Tumblr and Facebook pages by the same name. You can also search for The Ringo Zone on iTunes, Stitcher, SoundCloud, or wherever you listen to podcasts. Find us, like us, rate us, reblog us, leave a nice comment (or some vague comment art made entirely out of punctuation marks, that would be impressive), and most importantly tell your friends about us! Exposure really does help us out.
The next episode will be Buddy’s Book!
