The Estate | August Edition
Welcome to the very first edition of The Estate, Ritual Haus's monthly editorial audio experience.
Part mood board.
Part meditation.
Part seasonal reflection.
Each month, we'll step inside the atmosphere before the month fully unfolds. Together we'll wander quiet gardens, visit the Reading Room, pause beside the fountain, and discover what the season is quietly asking of us.
August arrives with softer mornings, open windows, slower walks, and the reminder that meaningful change rarely arrives with fanfare. It begins in ordinary rituals, quiet moments, and the courage to become more at home in your own life.
This month's edition includes reflections on belonging, late summer, the beauty of slower living, and the gentle invitation to notice what has been waiting for you all along.
The Estate is open.
Come in.
The work is quiet. The change is not.
One hundred episodes ago, I dropped a single stone into still water — one episode, no idea if anyone would hear it. A hundred ripples later, here we are.
This is a celebration episode: the whole journey, the gratitude, and the truth a hundred episodes taught me about beginning anything. We'll also talk about the Feng Shui Water element — the element of your path, your flow, the way your life moves forward — because a hundred episodes turned out to be the best lesson in it I could have asked for. You don't make a splash by throwing yourself against the rock. You make it by being the water: patient, persistent, unstoppable.
Thank you for being the wave this whole time. This one's for us.
Today, Astrid takes one last walk through Cabana Haus.
The umbrellas have been folded.
The pool is quiet.
Alistair is, unsurprisingly, still convinced summer isn't over.
The flamingo has collected enough stories to last until next year.
And somewhere between the seashells, the sunshine, and the slow mornings...
I hope you discovered something unexpected.
Not just a podcast.
A place to return to.
This weekend, we gently close Cabana Haus for the season and carry home the greatest souvenirs of all...
A little more peace.
A little more wonder.
A little more permission to slow down.
We'll save your chair for next summer.
And on Monday...
Meet me in the lobby.
I have a key waiting for you.
Ciao and Cheers Darlings,
Astrid
Notes from the Week | A Reflection
Some weeks ask more of us than others. This week, I'm setting the concierge's wit aside and speaking to you plainly — about what I've been noticing, what I've been carrying, and the quiet things that matter when we slow down enough to see them. Pour something warm, and let's sit together for a few minutes.
Ciao and cheers friends
Something rare is happening in the sky. The Sun is embracing Jupiter — the planet of abundance — in radiant Leo for the first time in twelve years, and the Lion's Gate portal is opening: an ancient doorway of light, possibility, and infinite potential, peaking on 8/8.
This guided meditation is your way of aligning with it. Together, we'll breathe in golden light, stand before a great luminous gate, and plant one clear intention in the abundance pouring through it. You'll meet the version of you who has already received — and remember the truth the portal most wants you to know: you don't have to earn the light. Abundance is the natural state of an open heart. You are worthy, you are open, and everything meant for you is already on its way. Recorded in immersive sound; best experienced with headphones, eyes closed, wherever you can be undisturbed. 🦁🌊
The gate is open. The light is pouring down. Step through.
Welcome to the portal

Once a year, the sky opens a golden door — and this year, it's rare and wide. In this episode, we step into the Lion's Gate: the ancient portal tied to the star Sirius that opens through Leo season and peaks on 8/8, sealed with the abundant energy of the number 8. This year is a rare "Triple 8" gateway, and it arrives alongside the Luckiest Day of the Year — the Sun uniting with Jupiter, the planet of abundance, in Leo for the first time in twelve years.
But this isn't about chasing money. It's about opening to a fuller life. I'll walk you through what the Lion's Gate actually is, why this year is so special, and a simple, grounded ritual for working with it: set one clear intention, clear the threshold, claim your worthiness, take one brave step — and then let go and trust the season. Because the gate that matters most isn't in the sky. It's the one inside you that decides to believe good things are coming.
If you'd like to walk through the gate with me, I've created a Golden Gate meditation, an 8-day journal, and an oracle to carry you from the luckiest day through to 8/8 — all in the links.
Welcome to the portal.

Good morning, dear guest.
This morning, Cabana Haus is unusually quiet.
The umbrellas are beginning to close, the lounge chairs are neatly folded, and the chandeliers inside Ritual Haus seem to glow just a little brighter, welcoming us back through the lobby.
As we gather our bags, we realize we're taking home much more than seashells and sunshine.
We're carrying the rest, the relaxation, and the quiet revelations that found us while we were here.
In this final Monday Report from Cabana Haus, Astrid reflects on the moments that shaped our summer, thanks a few unforgettable residents (yes... Alistair and our wonderfully nosy flamingo make an appearance), and gently prepares us for the next season at Ritual Haus.
Because no one is really leaving.
We're simply walking into another beautiful room.
Thank you for spending your summer with us.
What If?
The same two words that stop you — what if — are the two words that could set you free. You've just been pointing them in the wrong direction.
In this episode of The Current, we look honestly at the things that actually stop us — not "I don't have time," but the quiet fears underneath: what if I fail, what if I'm not good enough, what if they judge me, what if it actually works. And then we turn the question around. Because you're already a masterful "what if" artist — you've just been painting nightmares with a gift meant for painting dreams. This one's for anyone standing at the edge of something, waiting to feel ready. (Spoiler: ready arrives after you begin, never before.)
A pep talk for the car, the walk, the morning you need a little courage. 🌊
You are the water.
Welcome back to Poolside.
As another week comes to a close, let's spend a few quiet minutes by the water.
This week's prophecy is a gentle reminder that life isn't meant to exist in constant expansion. The tide doesn't rush toward the shore, and it never apologizes when it retreats. It simply trusts its rhythm.
If this week felt slower than you hoped...
If your motivation wandered...
If you've been carrying more than anyone realizes...
This episode is your invitation to pause.
Because sometimes clarity isn't found by moving faster.
Sometimes it arrives when the water becomes still enough to reflect the sky.
So settle into your favorite chair, take a deep breath, and remember...
The tide already knows how to return.
Maybe you do too.
Good Day, Dear Guests...
This weekend, the lobby is quieter. The chandeliers have very little to report, Brother Ramon has once again returned with more questions than answers, and the kettle is already warm.
As another week comes to a close, Astrid offers a gentle invitation to slow down before Monday arrives. Not to chase another goal or make another list, but to reflect.
What surprised you this week?
Who made your days a little brighter?
And who might need to hear from you today?
Sometimes the most meaningful weekends aren't filled with plans. They're filled with presence.
So settle into your favorite chair, take a deep breath, and join Astrid for this week's Weekend Report.
The lobby will be here when you're ready.
