Recognizing danger, threats, and problems is certainly valuable.
Life can be hard.
When we only look for what's wrong, however, we often make life harder.
Look for what's right.
There might not be much at times.
Yet, even a simple breath is a rare miracle in a vast universe.
You've got this.
Pour salt into a small bowl of water, and the water may be undrinkable.
That same salt in a large river has nearly no effect.
The river provides.
Similarly, a small heart is overwhelmed by life's troubles.
A large heart, however, can face much more.
The large heart provides.
You've got this.
Many of us see rest as a sign of weakness.
We often don't even consider it an option.
Our minds go straight to giving up when we feel burnt out.
You don't have to quit to rest.
It's okay to take a break, breathe, and recharge.
This just might be what keeps you from quitting.
You've got this.
Many of us feel out of control.
We've got countless plans, commitments, and obligations.
Every single day is a juggle of lists, tasks, and projects.
We've made nearly no time to just be.
What would your life look like if it were simpler?
Only one person can make that happen.
You've got this.
You might feel like you're the only one struggling.
This can, in turn, drive feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness.
Yet, we all face insecurities, pain, and conflict.
Most of us are just keeping these things private.
Why compare your behind-the-scenes to others' highlights?
You've got this.
We all make mistakes or do things we regret, often knowingly.
Many of us let these moments define us.
We label ourselves "stupid" and never let ourselves learn from and let go of our past.
Doing something stupid doesn't make you stupid.
You always have the capacity to change.
You've got this.
The past is gone.
We can only learn from and build upon it.
The future isn't here.
We can only plan and prepare for it.
What good is ruminating over what's done?
What good is worrying over what might be?
Today, this moment, is all we can control.
What can you do right now?
You've got this.
There's value in letting the past go and moving forward.
However, we often ignore or suppress memories of mistakes too soon.
We miss out on reflection, growth, and understanding.
Your mistakes make excellent teachers.
Open yourself to their lessons.
Then, leave them behind.
You've got this.
We often seek distraction from discomfort, stress, or discontent.
This may work in the moment, but it can also bury or exacerbate underlying issues.
Distraction only takes you so far.
Learning to face, then change or accept, on the other hand?
That might take you all the way.
You've got this.
Any pressure we feel comes from within, based on how we compare to our expectations of our ourselves.
Others might influence those expectations.
Without our buy-in, though, they're powerless.
We each choose our own pressures.
How are you choosing yours?
Which can you let go?
You've got this.
