We often let our sense of self-worth depend on the approval of others.
Our sense of self-worth, however, is in our hands, whereas others' approval is in theirs.
You can have all the external approval in the world but still not see your own value.
Do you have your own approval?
You've got this.
We often reduce decisions down to overly simplistic options.
Rarely, however, are we presented a clear "yes" or "no" or "this" or "that."
There are nearly always nuanced considerations, ambiguities, or uncertainties.
Life isn't black and white.
Get more comfortable with gray.
You've got this.
Many of us achieve what appears to be "success" but still feel quite unsatisfied.
This is often because the success we've been pursuing doesn't align with our personal values.
We've been chasing after what matters to other people but not to us.
What does "success" mean to you?
You've got this.
We often describe ourselves according to our ethnicity, career, political views, religion, shape, or hobbies.
Such descriptors have their value.
Yet, we tend to cling to these words.
We don't change or grow, out of fear of losing a part of our identity.
Let go of your labels.
You've got this.
There's much to be said for productivity.
Yet, we can get so caught up in work that we never reflect on why we're working.
Our lives pass us by, having done so much, but feeling like we've little to show for it.
Don't focus so hard on your speed that you ignore your direction.
You've got this.
Unlike money, you can't save time.
You can spend it or you can invest it.
However, many of us do only one of the two.
Some of us live only for the moment, neglecting the future.
Others of us always look ahead, never appreciating the present.
How are you allocating your time?
You've got this.
Many of us wait for others to take care of us before taking care of ourselves.
We fear pain, discomfort, or failure.
See pain as a requisite for appreciating pleasure.
Let discomfort expand your comfort zone.
Learn from your failures.
Nobody else will live your life for you.
You've got this.
Anger, sadness, frustration, and pain don't make you a negative person.
Feeling and expressing them is part of being human.
Some forms of expression may be more effective than others.
Each of these emotions, however, has its value.
You don't have to be positive all the time.
You've got this.
The voice you hear most is your own.
It's also often the easiest to believe.
Is it supportive, encouraging, and kind?
Does it project love, compassion, and truth?
You are worthy of that kind of voice.
Developing it may take time, effort, and patience.
You're up to the task.
You've got this.
Don't take life too seriously.
You will experience pain, problems, and annoyances.
That's part of the deal.
Your time, however, is limited.
Work to relish every moment.
Seek out whatever joy, love, and peace you can find.
Create them, if necessary.
Somebody's got to do it.
You've got this.
