The next step is the only one you can ever take.
It helps to have an idea of the steps to follow, of course.
However, you may have to act before figuring it all out.
That takes courage, humility, and self-compassion.
You may misstep, lose direction, or wander.
Keep stepping.
You've got this.
Our insecurities can drive us to criticize or idolize ourselves or others.
We are not all that different.
You have strengths and weaknesses.
Everyone else has strengths and weaknesses, too.
Practice empathy, compassion, and understanding.
Show love to yourself and to others.
You've got this.
Self-imposed pressure can help us push, learn, and grow.
It can also, however, drive us to stress, discontent, and exhaustion.
Consider the following question, rhetorically and/or sincerely.
Why put so much pressure on yourself?
You might find a good reason, or you might not.
You've got this.
Let your failures serve you.
Use them as opportunities to learn and grow.
Allow them to show you the sweetness of success.
Appreciate the promise of never-ending progress.
Embrace the challenge of becoming more.
Recognize you will never be perfect.
All this through failure.
You've got this.
Criticism has its value.
For example, it can help us identify potential areas for growth.
Yet, we often take criticism from people we don't admire, respect, or care to model.
Why take criticism from somebody from whom you wouldn't also take advice?
Choose your critics wisely.
You've got this.
The goal is rarely what we're after.
We're after the life we create and person we become pursuing the goal.
Achieving a goal accounts for only a moment.
The work prior to and lasting effects of achieving a goal account for far more.
Consider how your goals actually serve you.
You've got this.
Many of us blame ourselves when we feel lonely.
We further isolate ourselves, driving a vicious cycle.
Any of us can be unpleasant company.
We're often, however, being overly self-critical.
You are lovable.
That includes your flaws.
What's love, if not for all that you are?
You've got this.
We often repress, rather than feel or show, our emotions.
Doing so, we never hear their messages.
We might even be bottling them up, only to later explode.
Your feelings are valid.
Perhaps they're not always worthy of action.
They're always worthy of being felt and explored.
You've got this.
Many of us struggle to take breaks.
Often, we find dialing things back to be difficult after extended periods of hard work.
There's much value, however, in creating space to rest, recharge, and reflect.
If you need a break, take a break.
You won't always have the opportunity.
You've got this.
