We often look at life decisions as binary and permanent.
Wealth or happiness, strength or aesthetics, health or fun, and on and on.
You might not be able to pursue them all at once, and you may need to compromise a bit, but you can work toward them all.
Seek "and" before "or."
You've got this.
You might feel like everything around you is keeping you from having peace.
In reality, your peace is more about your thoughts, feelings, and perspective than your circumstances.
Focus your efforts there.
Don't calm what's going on around you.
Calm what's going on within you.
You've got this.
Do you make yourself miserable, seeking approval from others?
Others' opinions have their value.
They can help you see what you might not see about yourself.
It's your own opinion, however, that you live with all day.
What good is others' approval if you don't have your own?
You’ve got this.
Carbs are a bit controversial these days, but definitely have their place.
To learn which are the healthiest carbs and how many to eat, check out my post all about them at coachroba.com/carbs
Have a lovely Wednesday :-)
You are complex, dynamic, and capable of change.
Why let a single trait, habit, or characteristic define you?
Don't box yourself in with an overly-simplistic identity.
Labels limit your potential.
Seek growth, progress, and improvement.
Pursue alignment with your best life.
You've got this.
You might feel like you owe an explanation for saying "no."
The only explanation you owe is to yourself.
Your time, energy, and attention are limited, and yours to manage.
"No" can be a complete sentence.
Of course, adding a "thank you" can help.
A smile never hurts, either.
You’ve got this.
Many of us waste our entire lives trying to live "the right way."
Our concept of "right" is tied to others' expectations, neglecting our own talents, needs, preferences, and goals.
We end up miserable, resentful, and regretful.
There is no "right way."
There's only your way.
You’ve got this.
Some days, you won't know whether to rest or train.
You may be sore, tired, or unmotivated.
Rest or train.
It probably doesn't matter.
A single session will rarely make or break your progress.
If you feel like this regularly, you have a bigger problem than just one session.
You’ve got this.
You may have heard all about the benefits of eating fruits and vegetables.
If you're not sure, though, how many or which ones to eat, check out my post all about them at coachroba.com/fruits-vegetables
Have a lovely Wednesday :-)
So many of us ruminate over our failures, rest on our laurels, or worry incessantly.
We squander the present, living in the past or future.
Learn from what went poorly, build upon what went well, and plan for what's next.
Then, focus on what's now.
All you have is what's now.
You've got this.
