It's often not the difficulty of challenging situations that we struggle with.
Rather, it's not knowing what to do in such situations that's most difficult for us.
Life is complicated and we won't always - or ever, arguably - know what to do.
Practice sitting with uncertainty.
You've got this.
You can't change your past, but you can learn from it.
There's no reason to beat yourself up in the process.
Regret is a signal, not a punishment.
All you can do is listen to it, learn from it, and move forward.
This may take time, effort, and patience.
You're worth all that.
You've got this.
Supporting those in need can be deeply fulfilling.
At times, however, we might struggle to say "no," even when we know we need to.
We give so much of our time, energy, and attention to others that we leave none for ourselves.
A soft heart often benefits from strong boundaries.
You've got this.
You don't need anyone's permission to let go of ideas or behaviors that no longer serve you.
Sure, change can be difficult, and there may be tradeoffs involved.
However, you have no obligation to stay the same as you are now or once were.
You can change if you want to change.
You've got this.
Those around you won't always see your progress.
It's still progress.
You know the work you're doing.
If it's only approval from others you seek, you might not think this matters.
Such approval, however, is often short-lived and unsatisfying.
Seek your own approval first.
You've got this.
We might long to "get back to" some former version of ourselves when we feel we've changed for the worse.
While perhaps well-intentioned, this often results in fruitless nostalgia.
All we can do is move forward.
Build upon the best of who you are with the best of who you were.
You've got this.
You might not yet (and might never) be the person you want to be.
Why not take pleasure in every step you take along the way?
Aren't even your missteps part of your progress?
You're putting in the work and that alone is worth celebrating.
Be grateful for who you are becoming.
You've got this.
Seeing our peers excel while we struggle can play a role in feelings of inadequacy.
We've all got different circumstances, though, often through no fault of our own.
Your path will look different from your peers'.
Do what you can to shape it.
That's enough and you're enough.
You've got this.
Keeping life changes small and easily reversible (if possible) can help hedge against some of the uncertainty that often keeps us stuck.
That way, if the changes you've made aren't for you, you can go back to the way things were beforehand.
You can try change on for size.
You've got this.
There will be days when we show up and do the work but things still just don't go well.
That's okay.
We all have "off" days.
Some of us will have many.
What good is dwelling on them?
If there's anything to learn from such days, learn it.
Otherwise, get on with your life.
You've got this.
