  • God wants you to have an abundance mindset
Stop trading time for money. That is a mindset of lack, and God didn't create you for lack; He created you for an abundant life in Him. How can you develop an abundance mindset? The transformation from a lack mindset to an abundance mindset begins with Scripture. It's also important to recognize that trading time for money as an entrepreneur is not an abundance mindset. The Bible tells us we have an abundance. It all began when God created the world. He made it plentiful, beautiful, and perfect. Then, He created Adam and Eve. And the world was still perfect—until. . . Satan distracted Eve. The Garden of Eden was abundant in everything Adam and Eve needed to live. According to the free dictionary, the name Eden means a delightful place, a paradise. In addition, it is a state of innocence, bliss, or ultimate happiness. God created Eden as the perfect place for Adam and Eve to live abundantly. In Genesis 2:16, God told Adam, "You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden, and in verse 17, the exception was given. He was not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." Eat freely from every tree except one. Instead of seeing the abundance she had, Eve let Satan convince her she was living in lack because of the one tree she was told she couldn't eat from. How often do we follow Eve's example and focus on what we don't have instead of the abundance God has given us? Satan distracted Eve. And he distracts us today, too. Think about how often you think of what you don't have instead of what you do. Many of us complain about not having enough time. Eve had everything she needed, but the devil made her doubt that she had enough because she didn't have what the Tree of Knowledge could give her. We do the same thing when we have a scarcity mindset about time, resources, knowledge, or talents. Putting a dollar sign on our time and trading time for money is an example of seeing time as limited instead of seeing the value our gifts and knowledge allow us to provide for others and be more responsible with our time. What does Scripture say about an abundance mindset? Read the full show notes and access all links.

  • What does the Bible say about your identity? Hint - it's not in your revenue. - Friday Faith Foundations Episode
There's a lot of noise about making six, seven, or eight figures. And if you don't, does that mean you aren't successful? Does the amount you make alter your identity as a successful business owner? If the business world has made you feel less than adequate, I want you to stop for a second and consider this question: What does the Bible say about your identity? Your worth is not tied to your business. It is easy to link your worth to your business's success. When things are going well, and clients and revenue are flowing in steadily, you may feel confident and worthy of success. But what happens when clients and revenue are only trickling in or not coming in? Do you continue to feel confident and worthy of success? Or do you begin to doubt your worth as a health coach, life coach, healthcare provider, writer, creative, or whatever niche your business falls into? Satan uses doubt to distract you. God may plan to slow things down and refocus your efforts, redirect you, or intentionally give you time to rest or evaluate your business. But Satan takes advantage of this time and needles you and creates chaos in your mind, heart, and soul. You most likely will begin to ask many what-if questions: what if this isn't my purpose? Am I on the wrong path? What if things don't turn around? Where will the next client come from? What if, what if, what if? When this happens, there's only one thing to do. Go to Scripture and discover the answer to the ultimate question: What does the Bible say about your identity? I need to do this, too. We all do. Because we are all, at one time or another, distracted by Satan and his antics. However, we do not have to succumb to him and his deception because we can look directly at Scripture to understand what God says about our identity. And what He says is beautiful. Be assured through what the Bible says about your identity. The Bible also assures us that we are free from darkness, as found in Isaiah 61:1. And John tells us in John 17:15 that we are protected from the evil one. Similarly, in Romans 5:1 Paul reminds us that we are justified by faith. Likewise, in Hebrews 13:5, we are told we are not forsaken. So, what does the Bible say about your identity? Your worth is not tied to your revenue. The amount of money you make as a business owner, the mistakes you make, and the number of clients you have do not define you. Your identity is not defined by dollar signs or what others say about you but by what Christ says about you. • 315. Write a good case study to improve your marketing strategy - with Brittany Herzberg
To attract more clients, you must tell the world about your work and the results you help your clients achieve. But how? The answer? Learn how to write a good case study. Writing a good case study can improve your marketing strategy because readers will understand how you help your clients achieve the desired results. Why must you write a good case study to improve your marketing strategy and attract more clients? Case studies encapsulate SEO. They are proof of your work, share stories, and help people see the results you achieve for your clients. Stories are what build an emotional connection with your audience or community. Case studies fit the top and bottom of your funnel. They can help you get more visibility online, and by telling a story, you bring results alive and help people see why they should hire you. Weave a story around the client and include testimonial quotes throughout the case study. The story begins with where the person was before getting the help they needed and ends with the results the person achieved. Use case studies to showcase what it's like to work with you. How do you write a good case study to improve your marketing strategy? Case studies can be in multiple formats. Brittany recommends her PET formula. P—problem—where they were stuck before, what help they wanted, and what support they needed. Where were they before they met you? What made them hire you? E—experience—What was it like during their time working with you? What did they like about working with you? This section can highlight a part of your business that doesn't necessarily get much attention. T—Transformation—What wins have they had because they worked with you, and what are the internal and external transformations? Internally, how have they changed? Do they have more clarity and confidence? What was the emotional journey that took place? What external results did they achieve? Such as analytics, number of clients, ranking on Google, etc. There is something to show, numbers or data to demonstrate results. Emotional transformation is the most important because people will relate to the emotional aspect. Where do you put your case study on your website? There are two options. You can use a case study as a hidden web page or a blog page. To view a hidden page, someone must have a link where a blog post may be published, and anyone who scrolls through your website can easily find it. Hidden means that your site doesn't have a menu item for case studies. But the key is to have them on your site and then repurpose the content to drive traffic to them on your site. Optimize your page for SEO so that Google and potential clients can find the page. Read the full show notes and access all links. • Don't be timid if you want to create a personal brand strategy for a sustainable business - Friday Faith Foundations
Your personal brand is the foundation of your business, so a personal brand strategy must be a priority if you want to build a sustainable business. What is a personal brand strategy, and what characteristics of a personal brand are crucial for sustainable success? To start, don't be timid. Rely on your faith, be bold and courageous, and step into your God-given gifts. What is a personal brand? Think of your personal brand as the perception others have of you. It's a story, your story, that others want to be part of. A story they can see themselves as part of because they like you and trust you. Your personal brand is how you differentiate yourself from all others in your niche. It designates why someone will want to hire you or work with you. Without a personal brand, you have nothing to communicate with the marketplace. So, decide what makes you unique. What defines your unique personal brand? Likewise, if you have a personal brand that isn't visible online, no one will know you are there to help them. So let me ask: Is fear holding you back from becoming visible? From shouting from the rooftops, your story that people need to hear to want to be in your community and hire you? 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, "The Spirit God gave us does not make us timid but gives us power, love, and self-discipline." Don't let fear hold you back - create a personal brand strategy. Your story consists of the good, the bad, and the not-so-good. But sharing the not-so-good doesn't have to be something terrifying. You can be vulnerable without expressing how terrible your mistakes have been. You learned from each mistake or perceived failure, didn't you? So, your story can be told in a way that includes what didn't work, emphasizing what you learned and how you changed to create something better. Share the transformations you experienced and that God helped you make when you trusted Him to lead and guide you the way you'll help lead and guide your soulmate clients. When you share your story, people will see that you understand them, what they are experiencing, and what they need and desire. Sharing your story will allow you to address the pain points your soulmate client is experiencing because they are most likely steps behind you in the journey that you can now help them on. • Change your money mindset to improve your relationship with money
Financial resources make it easier to care for yourself and your family. When you have a positive mindset around money, you will have a positive relationship with money. How do you feel about money? Would you like to change your mindset about money to improve your relationship with it? If yes, you are not alone. Many people struggle with money mindset and need to improve their relationship with money. Past experiences, things you've been taught, trauma, and even your family's relationship with money can influence your money mindset and, therefore, your relationship with it. Navigating money mindset You can make more of it when you believe you are safe and capable of making money. Hannah teaches that money is an expression of love. When people pay you, they express love and gratitude for what you have done for them. Why might your past experiences with money be a good thing for you to recognize that you need help and can change your money mindset? How do you manifest money? You work for it. Once you receive it, you can manage it, grow it through investments, and continue to make more of it. We must recognize that we are not to idolize money but to work hard. Money is an expression of appreciation and love. For example, in years past, there was a barter system. People worked hard to be able to have things to trade with. Working hard is an honor and a pleasure. Working and being paid is accepting love. Paying someone else is giving love. Giving money is giving love. Money can be considered an exchange of love and appreciation. Change your money mindset to see money as an exchange of love and appreciation and improve your relationship with money. Doing so will help you spend money more graciously and be a better receiver of money. If money went away tomorrow, humanity would come up with another form of something to exchange to express love and appreciation. A form of gratitude When you pay someone money, you express gratitude, love, and appreciation. As service providers, coaches, etc., you are providing a service, sharing your knowledge, and giving of yourself to help someone else. Accepting payment is allowing someone else to express gratitude for what you have done to help someone by sharing your knowledge that you probably paid for to some extent. Change your money mindset to one of abundance. In her book Wealth From Within, Hanna defines abundance as the joy of rolling up your sleeves, getting your hands dirty, and working away until time and space slip away. Abundance is the energetic state of plenty, overflow, and richness that reminds you that there will always be more money to create, more opportunities to act on, and more expansion to experience. You will fully understand that the journey is a gift, even though the financial resources you are creating in the process are wonderful, too. Read the full show notes and access all links. • You need hope for the entrepreneurship journey
Being a business owner is exciting, fun, inspiring, joyful, and purposeful. But you need hope for the entrepreneurship journey to stay positive and have the strength to follow your dreams and achieve your goals. Hope is the desire that keeps you moving forward. You need hope and a positive mindset to stay motivated, to put one foot in front of the other when the excitement has waned and doubt has arrived. Hopeful expectation will help you see a light at the end of the tunnel, and your effort and dedication will produce results. Put your hope in the Lord. The psalmist in Psalm 32 says, "We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you." In Psalm 130:7, we read, "Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption." She never gave up. In Matthew, Mark, and Luke, we are told the story of the woman who had been bleeding for 12 years. According to doctors, there was no cure, nothing anyone could do for her. But she didn't give up hope. She had faith. When she learned about Jesus, she believed that He was the chosen one, the Messiah. Through faith in Him, she had hope that He could heal her. Her faith was so strong that she believed that if she couldn't get to Him if she could touch His robe, she'd be healed. And she was. A prayer for you I pray over you today, friend. Lord, thank you for the hope you have given us through Jesus and your limitless gifts of hope, grace, and love. Please calm this beautiful soul's heart and quiet her mind so she will hear you speaking to and guiding her. Grant her an elevation in her faith in you and hope in all things possible through that faith. You are so good, Lord. Help us take the hope found only in you and share it while using your gifts to serve others and bring glory to you through all we say and do, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen. • Facts about coaching, responsibility, anxiety, and mindset with Lisa Pachence
Coaches can serve as a mirror for clients behind them on the journey to become who they are meant to be. Clients can experience hope that they too will become satisfied, purposeful, and fulfilled by seeing what the coach who has gone before them has accomplished. Many facts about coaching will influence your decision to become a coach, what type of coach you will become, and whether or not you will hire a coach. The label of coach is very broad. Coaching could mean marketing strategy, consulting, coaching in sports, or mentoring. There is nothing wrong with the coach label, but the complication comes from he distinction between using coach as a business label versus the coaching industry. Getting credentialed as a coach helps you understand coaching as a process. Facts about coaching - it can help overcome a scarcity mindset The scarcity mindset (negative money mindset) is very prevalent. It can also be associated with performance. It always reflects a belief of lack in life or business. Lack of resources, lack of money, lack of ability, etc. Scarcity prevents us from seeing that there are enough seats at the table, collaborating, or referring to others. Rising tides rise all ships, but you can't get to that place until you work on your scarcity mindset. You don't have to have all the answers. But accepting vulnerability and asking for your help to discover the answers is vital. And, when help is offered or a referral given, receive gracefully, lovingly, and generously. A lack of resources isn't the problem; the scarcity mindset must be navigated first. Your overall well-being is related to your mindset. Did you know that your gut health influences your ability to have an abundance mindset? When you've experienced any trauma in your life, it's important to do inner healing work by nurturing mind, body, and soul. What influence does anxiety have on women in business and entrepreneurship? Anxiety can get in the way of having a great life. Coaching can help you recognize how to make choices that will reduce anxiety. There has to be a very strong commitment to navigating anxiety if you want to succeed amidst the pressures of entrepreneurship, motherhood, and the multiple hats that we as women wear. Responsibility, choices, and commitment are integral to navigating any mental health challenge. Anxiety can arise during the entrepreneurial journey or be exacerbated once you become an entrepreneur. It's important to note that anxiety is not an excuse to stay stuck, make poor choices, or react negatively. If you experience anxiety, take responsibility to get the help you need to recognize it and navigate it effectively. Website for Lisa Pachence Read the full show notes and access all links.
