In 1 Kings 18, we read the well-known story of Elijah and his showdown with the Prophets of Baal. But there is so much more in this scripture than just an account of God flexing his muscles in a showdown between Him and false gods. Most definitely, Elijah is challenging the false gods of his time, but we must also remember who Elijah is addressing in the passage. He is speaking to Israel - the people of God.

Today there is a push that is becoming more and more prevalent for people to build altars where they can worship against God. These include: Relativism, Scientism, Pluralism, Atheism, Humanism and Hedonism.

Pastor Sean expands further on these false gods of today in his message, and teaches how we can recognise their potential influence in our own lives.
