Today Pastor Sean Wood shares a message from John Chapter 10 entitled: Knowing the Voice of the Shepherd.

It is vitally important that we are listening to the voice of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. History bears testimony to many tragedies that have unnecessarily occurred when people have not listened to His voice.

Jesus shares a parable in John 10 that speaks of village life. He speaks of a shepherd who knew all His sheep by name, and reveals Himself as the Good Shepherd, our good shepherd if we listen to His voice.

 

 

Pastor Sean Wood teaches from the book of John, Chapter 9 in this podcast episode entitled God's Glory in Infirmity. In this Chapter of the Bible, Jesus is asked the question by his disciples that is often the elephant in the room for many people... "Why is there suffering and infirmity?"

It is a great question, and one that causes people to deny the existence of a loving Creator God.  Jesus addresses the answer to this question in this Chapter.

This is the fourth episode of our Reaching Out Series - "Found of Christ". In this message, Pastor Sean Wood shares about the conversion of Saul of Tarsus and what that has to do with reaching out for Christ.

When reading through the Book of Acts, there are accounts of many people who converted to Christ. Each account is different, the way each person came to the point of accepting that Jesus is the resurrected Son of God is different.

In looking at the account of Saul, also known as Paul, in Acts, when he entered a city he would reason with the people, he would plead with them and he would proclaim the Gospel of Christ and persuade them. But, what is interesting to note is that he had zero control over the results of his efforts to share his faith with the people of that city.

In the third episode of our Reaching Out Series, Evangelist Stu Millar from Train to Proclaim, shares Gospel Tools to help share your faith in Jesus Christ.

In communal cultures it is a lot easier to share the Gospel. People are more willing to sit and have a chat and share their thoughts. In western cultures, it is quite difficult to share with people. We live in our own worlds, and are generally unwilling to allow anyone to challenge our thinking - especially about anything "religious". We live in a "back off buddy - keep your religion to yourself" culture where we erect walls before anyone wanting to share their beliefs.

In the second episode of our Reaching Out Series, Pastor Sean Wood shares the Secret to History's Greatest Revival.

In the first and second chapters of Acts, we read about Peter, James, John and others who were part of this Greatest Revival. The descriptions of these men in the Gospels is vastly different to the way they are described in the Book of Acts. The eleven apostles totally turned their world upside down with the message of Jesus Christ, and it had absolutely nothing to do with them, and everything to do with the Holy Spirit.

Sharing Jesus today is a challenge in western society because very few have any concept of what sin is, and therefore they have little understanding of their need for Christ.

In the parable of the Prodigal Son, the Pharisees are concerned that Jesus is hanging out with tax collectors and sinners. They question Jesus as to why He is doing this, and He answers them with three parables all around the same theme.

Jesus never uses the word "prodigal"- that is the heading placed in most bibles for this chapter. Pastor Sean Wood queries whether "prodigal" really applies to the Son, or does it apply to God? And, what does "prodigal" really mean?
