The Se7en Churches: Persecuted, the Church of Smyrna
Are you a true believer in Christ? If so, you most likely deal with some form of persecution in your life. If not, then you need to look to see if you are a true believer of Christ or a “Christian fraud.” The Church of Smyrna were true believers and faced the daily persecution for being Christians.
If you were faced with the same level of persecution as the Church of Smyrna, how would you respond? How would the church today respond? In this sermon, Pastor Wes looks at the Smyrna church found in the Book of Revelation, their persecution and our response today as a church.
We will cover the following verses:
REVELATION 2:8-11
REVELATION 2:9
MATTHEW 13:24-30, 36-43
REVELATION 2:10
1 PETER 1:6-7
REVELATION 2:11
REVELATION 20:14-15

The Se7en Churches: Loveless, The Church of Ephesus
The church of Ephesus once loved The Lord, but over time their heart began to grow cold. The church of Ephesus knew the Lord in their head, but became the loveless church as they lost the love of the Lord in their heart. Many in the church today still act like this loveless church of Ephesus. There was a time when they were on fire for the Lord, but over time that fire has died down. Their love for the Lord has become cold. As Jesus reminds the Church of Ephesus of the first love they lost, He uses their story to remind us of our love for the Lord. Because when we lose our first love, the Lord can easily remove our lamp stand!
In this sermon Pastor Wes Morris of the Rock Church of Fenton looks at this loveless church and what we can learn from it. In this sermon the following verses will be covered:
REVELATION 2:1-7
REVELATION 1:20
REVELATION 2:2-4
ZECHARIAH 7:5, 9-12
REVELATION 2:5
We are saved by grace through faith. Where faith is required doubt is not far behind, they are a package deal. Humanity as a whole and the redeemed of Christ doubt God on many levels in various forms. What do we doubt? Why do we doubt? What are we to do with that doubt to enable a stronger faith?
Worth The Cost
What does a disciple of Jesus look like?
The call- he accepts the call of Jesus in his life. Not a religious formality, but a genuine salvation.
The change- a disciple who accepts the call will have a change in their life.
The cost- following Jesus will take sacrifice. Jesus is worth the cost.

Guilt...is the “check engine” light of your life on?
The worst words a person can hear is “I know what you did”! Everyone has heard these words at some point in their life. The fear of these words come from guilt, while some guilt comes from our action, there is guilt that we are born with. But there is hope for both self-made guilt (sin) and the guilt we are born with.
Spend a few minutes today as we look at how all guilt in our life can be overcome! We will cover the following verses:
Psalm 32:1-11
Psalm 51:4-5
Romans 2:14-15
Romans 1:18-25
Psalm 32:5-7
Isaiah 1:18
Psalm 32:8-11
How often do we spend time in prayer, yet we don’t know what it is? How are we praying? What are we praying? When do we pray?
God sees our motives when we pray, so we pray like Jesus and ask for His will to be done. Or is our prayer about what we want, when we want it. Prayer changes when we pray for His will to be done. We can be double minded in our prayer and our unrepentant sin can harbor our prayers. But when we prayer according to the word of God, He does not only hear it, but He can move mountains to answer those prayers.
Take a few minutes today and watch this message from Pastor Wes Morris as he talks about What Prayer Is. He will cover the following verses:
1 SAMUEL 1:8-15, 20
JAMES 1:5-8
JAMES 4:3
ISAIAH 59:1-2
JAMES 5:16-18
Who Is My Neighbor?
All around us are opportunities to share the Gospel. In Acts 1:8 Jesus commands us to be witnesses of Him. First and foremost He is telling us that we need to be witnesses in our Jerusalem, the area we live in.
Listen to today’s message as Pastor Wes Morris of the Rock church of Fenton explains the Gospel, where we should share it and to whom.
“Get Up!”
It’s time we get up and do something!
Sometimes in life, there are bad times. It’s easy to play the victim & want to wallow in our struggle. Sometimes we want God to use us, but aren’t willing to put in the work on our end. Let’s stop talking about what we are going to do and actually “GET UP” and do something! Faith moves!
In this message, Pastor Wes Morris from The Rock Church of Fenton opens the Bible to show us the answer to complacency—Get Up!
We will cover the following verses:
2 KINGS 7:3-7
2 KINGS 7:4
JAMES 2:17-20

How God Speaks: His People
Is God using His people to speak to you? Are you listening?
God uses His people to speak warning, conviction and wisdom into our lives about what God might be calling us to or calling us to turn away from. God also uses His people to speak encouragement into the lives of others.
