What is a Narcissist?
Narcissist (nar·cis·sist) (plural noun); a person who has an excessive interest in or admiration of themselves:
Narcissism is a self-centered personality style characterized as having an excessive preoccupation with oneself and one's own needs, often at the expense of others. Narcissism exists on a continuum that ranges from normal to abnormal personality expression. While there exists normal, healthy levels of narcissism in humans, there are also more extreme levels of narcissism, being seen particularly in people who are self-absorbed, or people who have a pathological mental illness like narcissistic personality disorder.
In short, it's someone who believes they're better than everyone else.
It's been shown that individuals who have NPD often require constant admiration, show arrogance, entitlement, envy, exploitativeness, lack empathy, self-importance and more.

How to Be Miserable: 5 Easy Steps
Warning: The five-step guide is meant for humorous purposes only.
1. Find something slightly out of reach, or completely out of reach, and decide that you cannot be happy until you have it.
There you have it. I know you can do it. Of course, misery is not what all of us are going for. If, in fact, you are looking to decrease your misery -- and maybe even boost your joy -- try a healthy dose of the opposite of everything that was mentioned. But be careful: You may just lose your misery altogether.

The phrase ‘grey rock’ is a metaphor for a way to deflect and/or defuse further abuse from a partner, a family member, or even a coworker. Simply put, it’s when a person who is enduring abuse purposely acts as boring as possible during encounters with their abuser.
“Using the grey rock method.”
This phrase may sound entertaining or even funny, but the meaning behind grey rocking is anything but.
For therapists who work with clients struggling in relationships with abusers or narcissists, this is one concept that has likely been the topic of many conversations and counseling sessions. So what is grey rocking, when should you use it, and when should you avoid it?
