InCircles are an alternative high energy rock n roll trio from the Bronx and Long Island, NY. The band is comprised of Jewlee (vocals, guitar), Oscar (drums) and Matt (bass).
Don't just take my word for it! Here's a review by someone who saw them play live.
"We came across InCircles today as they were setting up in Tompkins Square Park. What a band. Passionate, driving energy, consummate skill -- this band is super talented, super tight, and plays with total command. Excellent!"

MONTE is a Brooklyn-based power rock trio that was formed by front-woman and guitarist, Caitlin Montclare. She teamed up with drummer, drum builder and engineer, Ismael Baiz early in 2018. Meghan Rose joined the band a year later adding harmonies and melodic bass-lines. Blending rock, punk, and pop, MONTE delivers a signature sound that is original, surprising, and relatable. MONTE's in-your-face lyrics and shredding guitar riffs are cleverly balanced by musical harmonies and catchy hooks.

With a cloud of uncertainty remaining in the air I decided to postpone my visit with my scheduled guest for a couple of weeks.
That means we had more time for awesome music by independent artists from Brooklyn and beyond! We've got new music from Wolverhampton, Toronto, Tulsa, France, Northern California, Spain, Glasgow, Ireland, New Jersey, Hay on Wye and, of course, Brooklyn.

My visit with Ellen Foley was as intimate and fun as her live show. Which is why I'm strongly recommending that you make plans to go see her on December 21st at The Cutting Room.

Foley released her fifth solo album, Fighting Words, in August 2021. The album has garnered some of the best notices of her career, with accolades from music sites such as Classic Rock Magazine and Songfacts. In addition to Foley’s extensive musical discography, she enjoyed a dual career as an actress throughout the 1980s-90s, including roles in Hair, Tootsie, Fatal Attraction, Married to the Mob and Cocktail, along with TV roles on Night Court, Ghostwriter, and Law & Order.

"The Clash went to a Devo dance party and Jack White threw up all over the dance floor."
I absolutely love this description of Mary Shelley's music! Mary Shelley creates songs that challenge you in terms of style and content while at the same time being incredibly catchy and accessible.
Named for the author of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley means to look deeper into what you see. To not miss the human being inside the monster.
