I had the pleasure of hearing Patrick Lencioni speak at Dave Ramsey's Entreleadership, and he gave us four pertinent items for having a competitive advantage in business. He says it boils down to these four things:
1. Your team.
2. Your leaders.
3. Clarity.
4. Results.

I had the opportunity to hang out with Willie Robertson from Duck Dynasty at Entreleadership, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing. He shared with us all the rules to live by in order to achieve success, and I know that's up your alley.

Now, here's the thing, Better Humans. I want you to choose your own path. I want you to get to work. I want you to persevere on the tough days and then I want you to do it all over again.

We're never finished. There are still countless opportunities ahead of us. You possess unique strengths that are truly remarkable.

I had the pleasure of listening to Brian Buffini at Dave Ramsey, and wow, if you don't know who this man is, you need to. He has gathered stories from immigrants who landed in the US with basically nothing and came to be wildly successful. And it all boils down to this: It doesn't matter where you were born, who your parents are, or what you were born with. That's not what makes you successful. Brian shares the common traits of the successful, and boy, these were so good.

There are always going to be seasons in life that you won't be prepared for. You have to be able to adapt to that. Have the flexibility to be OKAY with what's coming at you because it's coming. It's just going to take work.

Have you ever been quick to judge someone? Maybe they cut you off on your drive to work, stood too close to you in the Starbucks line, or were always complaining they are tired when you see them. I get it, we've all been there.

But what if, in the split second before we jumped to conclusions or before we judged someone, we asked ourselves why? Did they cut you off because their wife was having a baby and needed to rush to the hospital? Are they constantly tired because they have a sick child at home that's keeping them up at night? 

I challenge you Better Humans, before we pass judgment, we first vett out a few things and open our hearts to empathy, understanding, and connection. What if we asked them the full story?

Dr. Joe tells it like this, "Your brain is a record of the past. If your thinking is in the past, the past will always be your future." I'm here to tell you that is true IF you let it.
