Since our stations are on the same floor, Ronn thought it would be fun to talk with KSFO morning host Brian Sussman. Given the he is a staunch conservative and Ronn a dedicated moderate, the conversation almost immediately veered to President Donald Trump and suffice it to say there was little agreement. With the horrible fires still burning, Ronn talked with KGO News Anchor Bret Burkhart about various aspects of the tragedy. Ronn talked with Bill Kristol (or as President Trump calls him) "some guy named Bill."Most of the conversation centered around whether there is a moderate Republican who could run against the President in the 2020 primaries. Bill, one of the leaders of the Never Trump group, believes there are quite a few, including Nikki Haley, Ben Sasse, Jeff Flake or "some fresh Republican just elected to the House of Representatives." Ronn talked with KGO's business and tech reporter Jason Middleton about Amazon's announcement yesterday morning that from a starting figure of over 200 cities, the company has decided to split the location of its second headquarters between Long Island City, New York and a Northern Virginia suburb close to Washington DC. This will bring an anticipated 50,000 new jobs to both areas. Ronn welcomed Paul Farhi, the Washington Post's media reporter, to discuss the lawsuit CNN filed this morning demanding that correspondent Jim Acosta's access to the White House be restored. The "hard pass" was taken from him just two hours after a contentious news conference.
